Ever since indulging in posh fries (truffle dust and parmesan) at a London stall, I've been hooked on truffle dust. After seeing the positive reviews for this brand, I decided to give it a try. This item heard about it once then tried it once the taste was mind blowing. The smell is strong and has a gritty texture. So be careful on the size you use as it is potent. I use a lot and it has lasted a while so the durability of this product is good and as I said the quality of is top notch

Undecided about this but not the best sign when it even brings to mind Asafoetida though I do sort of like it. As a lot of reviews state or imply it has a very nice hint of truffle but not very forthcoming when added to a dish unless you search out the flavour in your mouth. If you tip some into your clean (or rotten dirty if you prefer extra flavour) palm and lick it off then there is a very nice truffle zest fungi flavour but I didn't get the same when I sprinkled it over my bacon and cheese pasta even when adding some truffle oil. Still early days and I think I will use it all but will I buy it again? It wouldn't be a disaster if I got to like it more and did end up trying again. The jar does seem that it would go a long way, adding little sprinkles here and there and it does have a bit more flavour zip than smoother truffle oil. Probably worth giving a try. If it really did add it's flavour more noticeably to food then it would be 5 stars from me. As some have suggested it's maybe overpriced as is but it's not terrible. I think it does grow on you.

Brilliant! Love this! I use it in a mushroom pasta dish and it gives a very delicate truffle flavour. You only need a small sprinkle so the product lasts for ages.

Great product n good flavour

I am the pickiest customer. I am more often disappointed than not when I purchase things from Amazon, especially things that rely on scent or aroma. This was the first time I was blown away. First, I ordered this on the 22nd, by the 24th it was at my home, in Ireland, despite the massive delay in shipments I've been experiencing in the pandemic (sometimes up to ten working days on other products). I got this and it was wrapped in bubble wrap, I could already smell it through the plastic. I was worried it was leaking, so opened the bubble wrap and it was secured with a rubber and plastic thing. The smell was even more potent. It's as fine as baby powder and I plan on using this on everything right down to butter popcorn topping. I have only used it once, tastes great. Already know I will repurchase.

Overall it’s great for the price and is a cheap way to recreate truffle flavour. The smell of the seasoning is fantastic however when it comes to actually eating the food it always lacks the taste compared to the smell. Still a good product but not quite what I was hoping for.

Truffle marmite was a revelation for me, but the powers to be at marmite decided to discontinue that flavour. In desperation , I hunted for truffle powder to sprinkle on to my marmite on toast. This is it.... a revelation in taste. If you loved truffle marmite, buy this ....it is just as good, if not better. The jar goes a long, long way too. So not as expensive as it seems. Excellent product.

I bought this based on reading the reviews and people are not wrong! OMFG this stuff is amazing. The smell of truffle when you open the jar each time is stunning. I really like that I can use more or less depending on how much flavour I want, instead of it being mixed with salt which could make food too salty. Cook up a steak, heat up some sour cream in the left over juices and add truffle zest. Instant mushroom sauce.

Product does not taste like truffle. It tastes very artificial not truffle-like. Either the amount of truffle is so little and compensated by other things, or it only has chemicals that poorly mimic the flavor.

I am really impressed with how strong of a truffle aroma this has! I accidentally forgot to close the lid tightly and couldn’t figure out what I was smelling for days until I was standing next to it and realized it was the truffle zest! Flavor wise it’s very yummy and has made an excellent addition to the many mushroom dishes I enjoy making and eating. The texture is very fine powder and a little goes a long way. I can’t speak to its longevity yet but will update in several months. Looking forward to playing around with it! For those worried about the carob powder that is mixed in, to me it’s barely noticeable, can faintly smell it when it’s close to your nose. The carob flavor is barely present. Definitely give it a try, it is well worth the price considering how strong it is.
