Oxford A-Z of English Usage

I was expecting a book that was the same as one that I have and that is falling to bits!! I was slightly disappointed but I must accept that it is by a different author and publisher. However, it is still useful for determining how a word should be used - or not.I am glad that I bought the book. it is good value for money and it is up to date - always a good idea.Yes, I would recommend the book for amateur/occasional writers.

It's a shame more Kindle authors don't study this before unleashing their grammatically poor tomes upon us. Say no more.

Writing well is a skill that takes time to acquire. This and any other Oxford publication is a good purchase toward self-improvement.
