I usually don't write reviews but this is an awesome transit wheelchair.I purchased a similar one in 2008 for my parent. Have been looking for a similar one. This style is called a transit wheelchair typically used for transferring passengers to an airline seat. But it can be used for short distance transport inside airports or at home. It is not a replacement for a regular wheelchair.While all wheelchairs are imported from China, the VMS wheelchair is the best value for money. Others on Amazon are selling similar products but the cost is almost double.This wheelchair has great build quality, great price. I use a lot of other VMS products like laminators, paper stock etc. They are top notch and are working hard to maintain quality and service levels. I think it is the same company (based on branding) although I am not sure why they diversified into wheelchairs from office products.The only issue with this wheel chair is it doesn't stand on it's own in the folded condition. But this is a problem with all transit wheelchairs being made in China. The original design from 2008 was self standing when folded. But now all manufacturers have added large handles, unnecessary armrests, footrest, etc. This increases weight while decreasing usability. However, that is not VMS's fault. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. This is a very usable, high quality product.
