Decent diagnostic tool, saved a trip to the vet!
They did the job. I use walnut litter so the colour was hard to see, but it was visible as the unchanged crystals are white. If I need to do this often I'd probably start by changing my litter to one of the white/grey ones. Also, you want to check often because if it gets mixed in, you won't be able to tell.

Useless!
This was a complete waste of money! I have two litter boxes, but there aren't enough crystals in one canister to cover the ltiter in both boxes. Besides, they don't do any good if the cat refuses to use the litter boxes after adding the crystals. Since I added them to the boxes (well one box and a half), he has refused to use either of them, and instead has taken to peeing on the bathroom floor and in the bathrub. Turned what was nothing more than a preacutionary measure to check on his urinary health (no symptroms or issues, just an abundeance of caution) into a major cleaning job every time he pees. I didn't get these just to make more work for myself, I got them to make sure there was no unseen issue, since he is 13 years old, now.. Won't make the mistake of wasting money on them again.

Doesn't seem to do anything?
I bought this because my darling siamese cat is approaching 15, so it seemed like a good safety check that I hoped would be more convenient than the big bags of the comparable products. It was easier to sprinkle on the top of his normal litter, but that also meant it blended in with the litter unless I really piled it on.From what I could make out, it didn't seem to be reading anything, which was good. But I do think a lot of the other litters that do this are easier to read so I won't be trying this one again.

Cool idea, bad execution
Like others have mentioned, you need a lot of this stuff to see the color change but my cats dig and cover it up so I haven’t seen any changes

Worthless if your cat covers his pee with litter.
I use a common clay litter. My cat covers his pee and poop. I think most cats do the same. Because my cat covers, I cannot find any discernible coloration when scooping its pee for removal. Perhaps if your cat doesn't cover, you might be able to see coloration on top of the clump of pee. But for cats that cover, the product is worthless.

Works as advertised! Gives me peace of mind!
Purchased this when my cat started acting strange and had trouble urinating. You just sprinkle it on the litter and try to see if it reacts right after your cat goes to the bathroom. In the photo above I decided to do my own example test for fun. the first being the control, the second tap water, the third is lemon juice and the fourth is rubbing alcohol. It makes me feel better to have this around just in case!
