First Studies of Plant Life (Yesterday's Classics)

This reprint is nice in that it has original diagrams necessary to the understanding of the text. It also has bold face for titles and italicizations for emphasis. This is a well-done reprint. Thank you!

The text is intact in this reprint as well as the drawn figures on the pages. What did not reprint is the black and white photographs in the original published book. Many of them are of plant specimens. This may be a game changer for some. The book is in the public domain so it is easily found online where you can look at the missing image or you can look up the specimen in google and find the color image to look at. For some this is acceptable. As this is a science book for Ambleside Online's year 7 curriculum, this printing will suffice.

I don't dislike this book, I just think I expected too much of it based on other books I've gotten because of an AmblesideOnline recommendation.

The content is great, the printing copy is ok...

Many pictures are missing/illegible.

I ordered this in May and just opened it today. It is coming apart in the binding on the first page. Hoping someone will contact me about a replacement.

Helpful with understanding of seed planting -

I bought this book as it was one of the recommended books for 13/14 year old students of the Charlotte Mason method. My 13 year old daughter thinks this book is fantastic.
