This compelling encyclopedic reference includes hundreds of individuals, organizations, and events where official claims and standard explanations of actions and events remain shrouded in mystery. It examines the most common subjects among conspiracy theorists, from historical topics such as the true relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene, the Roswell UFO crash, and the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. to more current issues such as the death of Princess Diana, FEMAโs response following hurricane Katrina, and the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. With photographs and illustrations, a list of resources for further investigation, and a comprehensive index for thorough cross-checking, this dossier debunks popular myths and presents the evidence on an invisible world of influence and power. Separating fact from fiction, this reference provides gripping details and presents the information without bias and, updated and expanded, includes information on nearly 40 new subjects. Review: A Worthy Addition to the Topic - Very good work! I have read many conspiracy books, good and "out there," and this is great compendium, much like Vankin and Whalen's 80 Greatest Conspiracies. It has reasonable detail on well-known and lesser-known conspiracies and societies, is well-written with a nice bibliography. The tone is even-handed, which is an extra-plus. If you're willing to engage in critical thinking about the topics, or just want to enjoy learning about the topics, this will provide several hours of good reading. Review: The book is new. - The book is new. This is my second time purchasing this book, due to an unfortunate event. Packaging could have been much better, but I'm happy with my purchase. Why don't they want us to believe in conspiracies?

Interesting Read...
I purchased this book while attempting to find something "different" to read. This book is organized in an alphabetic format with topics appearing as "key words" in the top corners of each page for quick reference. Entries may be a few paragraphs in length to several pages and are written in a succinct fashion, giving the basic scenario for an entry but not much in-depth coverage. Careful citing of sources appears at the end of each entry, convienient for anyone who may want to further investigate a topic. I wouldn't recommend this for any hard-core conspiracy theorist but for the rest of us, its a fun rainy-day read.

Excellent resource.
I've collected tons of "conspiracy" books since the mid 80s - There is a lot of content in here that you can find in other books, but there's a lot of new content in here as well. The material is well researched - it doesn't read like it was put together by a nut who didn't question the first thing they heard before repeating it as gospel. Very informative, intelligent - a must have for the serious collector of this kind of information. Presented in an encyclopedia format, you can open it up anywhere and start reading, or go from A to Z. By far this is the best "all-in-one" book in my own library.

Awesome book
Overall the packaging was well shipped. I ordered it as a bundle with three other books, so it was packaged in a plastic wrapping and placed in a box. The shipment was prompt, the order was accurate. Well researched, very scholarly work by the Steigers, only thing I found wrong was with some typos in the book, but that's the editors fault. I had read this book before a couple of years back, and found the information contained in it quite eye-opening, especially the 4-11 on the Bush family history & all the wars since the Spanish-American war. Hands down, a very educational book on the alternative history your didn't get in school.

Excellent "laundry list"โฆโฆ!!
This book is a wonderfully written encyclopedic work of mankind's secret societies and conspiracy theories. i don't believe the authors intended there to be a thorough discussion of all subjects mentioned...but rather an excellent starting point for the reader to conduct additional research. There are many topics I've never heard of in the book and I'm enjoying skipping around a.nd reading those first. Nicely written...Thank You!!

More than what I even hoped for!
This book is more of a page turner than I had even hoped for! I gave this to my brother as a Christmas gift, and I can't help but keep borrowing it for myself. The discussed conspiracies and secret societies are explained thoroughly enough without taking too much time breaking down every small detail. They make a great case for what they state - maybe it's just me, but I worry when purchasing something like this that it will be a bit too out in outer space. But it's not the case here! Really a quality a book that I would recommend everyone spend some time reading. Hard to put down!

It's okay as a reference.
I love reading about conspiracy theories, but I don't happen to buy into most of them. The authors of this book, however, seem to believe most of what they write about. I could be mistaken, but they do claim their book is supposed to be "objective", and intended to let the audience make their own decisions. But from what I can tell, I do think it leads the reader. Anyway, as a reference, it's a great book. You can find so much in here. If that is why you got this book, which was my reason, then you'll be able to enjoy it.

A must for anyone interested in conspiracies and secret societies.
This is the best reference on conspiracies and secret societies I have found. It is a credit to Brad Steiger, an amazing author I discovered years ago through his timeless classic, Mysteries Of Time And Space. Pros: very accurate and well researched judging from the topics I am familiar with. Cons: at times, it's hard to tell if the author agrees or not with some of the theories he discusses. Although this a pretty complete dossier, as the title says, it serves as a general reference and introduction to the several topics covered in the book. At times, I was left on my appetite for more, but that's the point of this book - it's an excellent starting point if you're interested in doing more personal research on each topic. I consider this book a must for anyone interested in conspiracies and secret societies.

Introduction
It is a basic introduction to most conspiracies around, tries to cover all bases therfore it can't go in to much detail. If you know your conspiracies best to avoid if you want to see what all the fuss is about buy it.

Everyone needs to buy this...
Descriptive explainations from a long list of conspiracies. Yes, some stories are short considering how many topics this book is packed with but SO WORTH THE BUY!!! Doing extended research such as reading other books (could have more information not all covered here) and searching them to discover more is extremely necessary. Don't be too quick to believe or deny.Nothing is ever as it first appears. Question everything. We learn something new everyday.
