toped up the sim on without problem Couldn't activate the sim,went to an Orange store,a very helpful sales assistant spent 25 minutes trying to get it to work but was unable to do so. I had to buy another holiday sim at the store,which worked immediately I now have a locked sim which can not be used and at a loss of around £36 Not very pleased

Rubbish couldn’t get it to work would suggest going to shop and checking first.

Despite being a 30GB SIM, having used only 3GB in Spain, the SIM card reset to show only 12 GB left when crossing the border to enter France from Spain. I felt cheated! Having read up, this is a thing so beware - the amounts may not be what you think you have if you are crosssing borders.

Really happy I got this I got two one for me and one for my wife and we went to multiple countries around Europe and at every place we had internet and phone service If your going to Europe I’d recommend this SIM card

My wife went on a cruise and I bought this card for her to be able to stay in touch without paying the high International roaming rates. We were very pleased with the product and the service. I knew that she would never use 30GB of data but the texts and minutes to stay in touch with home made this an extremely fine bargain. Take note that SMS messages are included but MMS (for pictures) is not. She used it an unlocked iPhone. She did not even know what a sim card was when we began, but after a few practice sessions at the kitchen table using my Sim and hers she learned how. When she got to London, she managed to remove her US Sim and insert the Orange Sim AFTER she arrived in London. It worked fine until she got on the cruise ship. Here is the important info for cruisers. If your ship uses your phone as your room medallion and requires your phone to be in airplane mode to work (as Princess does) then when you get back on land or in port you must turn off airplane mode for the phone to work with the Orange Sim. This may explain why some users never got it to work. In port it helps to be on an open deck. The other thing is if your phone uses an eSim you may wish to convert to a physical Sim before you leave the US. That is what we did. Your provider may do this for free or charge a couple of bucks. Doing this means there will only be one Sim in your phone at a time and no way for you to mess up. One other thing we did was to create new contacts in my phone and hers that contained the country exit codes, Country codes, area codes and phone numbers. This saved a lot of potential confusion. For calls to France the exit code for the US is 011 and the country code for France is 33 For calls to the US The exit code for France is 001 and the US country code is 001. Your French phone number will be printed on the Sim card instructions. The first 0 is ignored when dialing and your French area code and number will begin with a 6. Bottom line is that if you have an unlocked phone and can swap the Sims you can stay in touch with home for a lot less money than the big boys charge for international roaming.

Purchased 2 of these 30Gb travel cards for our Mediterean cruise so that we had service during our shore excursions. Super easy to install. I did it in the Barcelona airport while in line for customs and immigration. You don't have to enable data roaming before installing the SIM card as this would incure a day charge for your roam like home. Power off the phone, install SIM card, power on the phone. As soon as it powers up, enable the data roaming setting. You'll recive a text from Orange in french. You can use Google translate to translate the message but no need to as it is just a welcome message. No codes to remember, no worries. You will recieve random text messages from Orange during your trip and it is always in french. I translated some of them but usually ignored as the data just worked. So happy with this travel SIM. We had stops in Barcelona Spain, Mallorca Spain, Marseilles France, Cassis France, Florence Italy, Civitavecchia (Rome) Italy, Naples Italy. We had great cell coverage in all stops. Although I never could figure out why we couldn't text message each other. I'm sure it is something I did incorrectly but it wasn't an issue as anything with data worked flawlessly like facebook messenger or whatsapp. I would copy your phone number so that you can easily access it if you need to have someone text you while you are away. On that note, I would HIGHLY recommend installing Whatsapp messing service on your phone! I'm not sure how it worked but any texts or calls going to my Canadian "home" number automatcially forwarded to Whaatsapp with the travel sim installed. Again, totally not sure how this worked but it came in handy for communicating with excursion companies that only had my Canadian phone number. I will definitely purchase this travel SIM again next time we travel to EU as it is so much cheaper than the "Roam like home" charges. I would also like to add that my phone had an unusually large battery drain with the travel SIM installed. It's hard to say if this is due to the increased usage with photos and google maps but I feel like it was abnormally large battery drain compared to my normal everyday usage. Often having to "topup" my battery with an external battery pack sometimes multiple times per day. Based on other reviews, I tried putting my phone in airplane mode while at sea but it didn't seem to make any appreciable difference.

After landed on Athens, Greece and used SIM card. It looked that phone was activated and gave a phone number, however it didn’t work. After carefully read the booklet, I restarted my phone, it gave a new phone number again, this time it was really activated and in a local mobile network. You don’t need to register for 2 weeks. It is pricey but convenient.
