I love this lamp. I bought the small table one too along with the bulbs that change colors and are on a remote. My new couch arrived and I wanted nice, warm lighting in the room. I use to purchase the light bulbs that were stained glass. Of course everyone stopped selling them, Walmart, Taget..bulbs stores..etc. They were so soft and gave off a nice inviting glow. I love using this modern style lamp next to my new leather couch. I put the remote on rotating colors and my living room is very comfortble. I don't understand the bright LED office type lighting that is blinding and feels like your at your office..they not only make you look terrible but give you headaches from how bright they are. It's annoying in hotel rooms and tolerant in offices but at home I have a choice to have calm, soft lighting where I can enjoy my environment without having to wear sunglasses. The harsh bright white LED lighting is so popular now and I just don't get the attraction of it in hotels, restaurants or homes...smart places create a comfortable atmostphere so we don't feel like we're in an office when we're trying to relax.

I never write reviews, but this lamp really is so cool looking. I was looking for something new since we just had our house repainted and had our TV mounted above the fireplace, giving me a brand new corner of the room to work with. I was afraid that the lamp would be super cheap given the price (and considering it comes with smart bulbs and a remote)- but it's actually quite sturdy. Putting it together was a bit of a struggle and the remote takes all of 10 minutes of playing around with to figure out. But once you understand how it works the effect is amazing- it can be brightened and dimmed, change colors (and each bulb independently if you want) and give flashing/strobing effects. I love this product. Also has a timer for 30 or 60 minutes to turn off if you're using as a soft nightlight, which we are. We just had a baby and the family is sleeping in the living room (thus the baby mess around the pictures). Be careful putting it together because I nearly ripped it, but I'm always rushing and ignoring instructions. If you are patient and can learn how to use a remote, you will not be disappointed.

I got this light to put by our baby's crib, as we wanted some colourful, soothing light there. It's nice the shade is Tyvek, which means it's durable. A few things stop me from really being completely on board. But first, the good stuff.The colour palette is actually beautiful. The red is vibrant, the purple is gorgeous, and the actual lumens is nice- it can get quite bright or pretty muted, which was a pleasant surprise. I really like that about this lamp. It's the main reason we bought it, and in that area, the lamp doesn't disappoint.The thing that really holds it back is the remote; it doesn't seem to have all the features advertised. You have to pair the bulbs to a channel (okay), but features don't always seem to work if both channels (lights) are on. Also the remote has +/- buttons, and each are supposed to control two functions (increase cycling/increase brightness or decrease cycle speed/decrease brightness) but there's no clear way to access these different modes or when each mode is available (when both lights are on, when they are only a solid colour, when the colour cycling is on, etc). Last night we wanted to have it on for 30 minutes while we were getting ready for bed, but super low brightness and we could only do it if we shut one of the channels off; the minus button didn't do anything otherwise.The other negative has to do with putting it together. It's simple, until you get to the point where you need to stretch and attach the centre rod to the frame on the bottom. The spring you installed at the top is so firm and inflexible, it took two of us to push and line it up while the other person put in the screw to hold it in place.It is nicely and neatly packaged, which is a plus, and nothing appeared damaged. FYI the lamp is made in China (difficult to find lighting like this that isn't), but this item seems to be pretty good quality. I rounded up from 3.5 to 4 because the durability and light - the main reason I bought it - are excellent.

Absolutely love this light for my living room. The colors are vivid and once you learn how to change the colors, everything really comes together. The cover can give you a little trouble, and the remote when first starting but when you figure it out it's all good. Enjoy!
