Just a great guitar
Bought this in used/ good condition and there's not a mark on it. Spent a couple of hours noodling on it yesterday and I'm really impressed by the guitar. The fit & finish is excellent. The Gotoh hardware is quite nice and the pickups are extremely impressive, quiet yet very toneful and rich and the coil split for the humbucker actually gives you a convincing single coil tone, which is sort of a first in my experience. There's nothing thin about the tone. This isn't a "punch you in the mouth" shredder at first blush. In fact it is a "musical instrument", a scalpel. A really fine guitar. I have maybe ten S-type guitars, mostly American made by you-know-who, and this guitar is more refined and articulate than any of them. Tone-wise, it covers all of the classic strat tones I could throw at it which, again, is sort of a first for me since I tend to have one guitar that'll do this tone well, one for that tone, etc. Thank you Amazon for a great deal on a superb instrument.

Outstanding professional quality and sound
Like most other reviewers, I found build quality to be world-class professional. The pickups produce incredible sound. shape of neck-body connection at high frets is really comfortable on the hand. Best electric guitar I have ever played by far.

Fantastic Guitar
This is a FANTASTIC guitar! The fit and finish is excellent. The tones are incredible! Stainless steel frets, locking tuners ...very nice. Yamaha hit it out of the park with this one! The pickups are toneful but extremely articulate, without being brittle or harsh. Great guitar!

A guitar with a variety of stratocaster sounds
Like the sound of guitar a lot. The pickups sound nice in all positions, and the humbucker can be split. The only thing I did not like is the string tree on the headstock. The angle for the 4th string is somewhat of extreme. The issue is easily solved with just a taller retainer and tuning stability is much better after.

Love this guitar
I got this guitar on sale and was it ever worth it. The SS frets, excellent pickups, smooth and fast neck, locking tuners and solid controls. This guitar would be a value at twice the price. The Yamaha Pacifica standard Plus is a home run by any standards.

Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard with special smooth satin finish and stainless steel frets. Gotoh locking tuners and 2 point bridge. YAMAHA exclusive Rupert Neve Design pickups. These features have made a top end guitar the and arguably the best value for this money. However, this brand new guitar I bought has making defect, kinda disappointed at Indonesian factories.
