I used this to make some white chocolate ganache lava, it was great! I didn't need much, and I couldn't taste it at all. I got nice, bright colours, and the red and yellow blended together nicely for a great orange.

Nice shade of green but requires a lot of colouring to get a deep colour. Good value for money and good quality packaging. Doesn’t affect the taste of buttercream. Thick gel based colouring.

Good colour, high quality, don't need a lot but can use different amounts to change the colour also. I've not been able to taste it in the buttercream. Little goes a long way so would last quite a while so good quantity. It mixes really well, never had an issue mixing by hand or with a mixer.

Good food colouring. Gives a good colour for Christmas cakes.

The colour wasn't vivid. I wouldn't be getting this product anymore. I was really hoping to get a red colour with my buttercream. I had to add and add and add. At a point, I was tired and even added another food colouring paste which didn't make it any better so I just settled for pink or was it peach? Overall, it wasn't bad but I wouldn't be getting this product anymore especially if I'm going with vivid colours.

A little goes a long way. And it doesn’t add a chemical taste to your food.

I used this Forest Green food colouring gel in American buttercream for floral piping, and it has become a very useful staple in my decorating supplies. I used it for flower centres, as well as for piping leaves and grass details, and it performed very well in each case. The colour is nicely concentrated, so I only needed a small amount to get a strong green without overloading the buttercream. It blended in smoothly, gave even colour, and did not leave streaks. Just as importantly, it did not seem to affect the texture of the buttercream, so my piping still held its shape well for detailed work. I also did not notice any added taste, which is always important when using food colourings in frosting. Overall, this is a reliable green for cake and cupcake decorating, especially if you do floral work and need a versatile shade for centres, foliage, and grass. I would buy it again.
