Product description Review: Buy it! - I've been looking for years for an all tube, light weight and portable head that would stay clean enough to play small to medium Jazz gigs with. I've owned countless mini amp heads and pedal amps. The Wang mini 5 all tube head had a great clean sound at very low volume but no headroom and the transformers kept breaking. I had basically given up on an all tube solution until I saw this Oripure 15w. It's been impossible to find a 15w tube amp in this size and weight until now. I have no idea how they were able to build this in the same size and weight as their 5w amp. So I would skip the 5w and go straight for the 15w amp. The sound is crystal clear and glassy, and responsive. The amp is a little gainy, so you can get more clean headroom by replacing the 12ax7 with a 12at7, this will give you more clean range with the gain control. So far I've gigged the amp a few times with my trusty Toob metro 6.5 speaker cabinet. In total the rig is 10lbs for a full tube amp and speaker cabinet. This amp is 8ohms, so I just found the perfect 8ohm speaker to go into the Toob cabinet, the pulse 6.5 guitar speaker. It's the greatest sounding, light weight, powerful and dirt cheap guitar speaker I've ever heard, don't let the cheap price fool you, it's incredible. Buy one of those along with this amp and you'll have the most portable gig worthy full tube amp possible. Review: nice clean sound - Good quality build. Sound is ok to use with pedals and to use as a nice clean sound. With the gain all the way up it sounds a little off, grainy. I run the gain about half and use a tube screamer for overdrive. I was looking for a small lightweight amp to carry around for band practice, this does the job. Maybe $50 more than what I would think its worth but it is one of the cheapest in its class.

Great sound and quality for the price
Very nice quality amp with excellent sound and adequate power for practice or for a small venue. This along with the 1x12 Monoprice cab is probably the best sound you can get for the dollar. Only issue is that some of the exposed metal components are prone to rust so keep the protected with anti rust product or keep them out of high humidity areas.

Nice tone, sale priced
Bought this 15 watt head on sale for Christmas, because price was same as the 5 watt version, and amp offers a 1 watt mode for playing at home. So far, after 1 week of playing through it and a 12" Celestion speaker, I am very satisfied with the tone. For its size, a heavy unit. Nice looks, great sound. On durability, time will tell. Takes low to mid range overdrive pedals and a tc electronics '65 Combo pedals well.

Broke in 8 days
Broke in 8 days. The standby switch does nothing now as the amp just stays on. Sending it back. Reviews were good on this Chinese amp and it was priced like it should last. Amp sounds really good I 1 watt and 15 watt but if the standby broke in 8 days what else will go wrong. Do not recommend. Donโt buy it unless you just want it to work on. I want to open it up just to see if maybe a wire came off the standby switch but I know that would void the warranty so Iโm just sending it back. Edit: I originally gave one star but have changed to four star because the amp sounds really good. Iโm pretty sure it is the standby switch that is bad. Still sending it back will probably buy another.

Nice little tube amp.
Good little tube amp, controls work well. It's definitely not high gain, maybe crunch at best, but it takes pedals good. Perfect for home use, maybe in a small venue as well.

Disappointing Tone And Broken Standby Switch
I tried to like the 15W model of this amp but the excessive brightness/treble was just painful and trying a nicer 12ax7 didn't fix it. I noticed the switchable voltage is labeled 110/220V rather than 120/220V and wondered if that contributed to the problematic tone. I didn't try running it at 110V on my variac to see if that helped. The EQ knobs don't have a musical useful range either. Finally, the standby switch on mine was broken right out of the box. I own a few other affordable tube amps and I was hopeful about this one but tone and build quality are the most important things and this amp was problematic on both counts.

At $300 this is a good little amp
First true tube amp I've owned. Have been using Blackstar 5HT for practice and Line 6 Bogner modeling 30 W 2x12 combo for gigs. Set up the new amp with overdrive + compressor pedals played through 1x12 Celestion Vinyage 30 and have been able to generate some pretty awesome classic rock tones with more presence and authentic sustain than I get with modeling hybrids. Mostly using right now with throttled power switch on but for practice sounds good enough to consider for gigs. Will definitely add some sort cab though to protect the chassis and tubes.
