This is my first Salt and Stone purchase. I was actually drawn to the simplicity of the name and being earth elements. I thought it sounded cool. I purchased a small lotion in the Saffron and Cedar fragrance. The fragrance is AMAZING, I cannot quit smelling it, it’s that good. It makes me think of sweater weather, autumn, cozy fires, hunkering indoors on a snowy day. It’s comfort in a tube. It also reminds me of Prada by Prada, which unfortunately isn’t made anymore and it was a favorite of mine. But now Saffron and Cedar is my new favorite. Besides the amazing smell, the lotion is so hydrating and luxurious. I pretty much never use lotion on my skin because I’m too lazy or too pressed for time. So I’m always perpetually chapped and red and now it’s getting cold so that all will get worse. I applied this one time and the next day my skin was like velvet. Wow, wow, wow. I’m definitely going to buy the larger lotion and the shower gel too. I’ll probably skip the fragrance spray because I prefer just lotion and shower gel, but it definitely has staying power. My one lotion application lasted all day long. I’ve also ordered the other scents to try and am excited to test them out, but I think saffron and cedar will still remain my fave. Do yourself a favor and try the small lotion. If you don’t like it, send it back easy peasy. But you’ll like it, and you deserve to treat yourself to this luxurious scent! EDIT—— the Black Rose and Oud scent is NOT for me. While the lotion is amazingly hydrating, the BLACK ROSE AND OUD scent smells like a a stale ashtray to me. Nobody wants to smell like that. I’ll be sticking to Saffron and Cedar, it’s the best scent. EDIT #2: I have tried Santal and Vetiver and LOVE IT. I like that it’s more subtle and doesn’t scream from across the room. It’s the sort of scent that is smelled up close and personal. It has a warm flax and linen smell and is comforting like warm milk, hot oatmeal, a warm glass of milk, along those lines. I really like it. ALSO, I like the Bergamot and Hinoki. It’s also a more subtle scent and is more of a clean and fresh scent. Makes me think of warm sunshine.

I just received this today and I love it. The lotion is creamy and smooth, without being oily at all. The scent is rich but the vanilla note is a bit strong. I bought it for the sandalwood that I love. I'm anxious to try the other scents as well.

Scent is amazing, last a long time. Alot longer than Bath and body works. Soaks in really good not greasy. A little goes a long way, so I just put a couple of pea sized drops on and really spread it out. And yes it's the size of a tube of tooth paste, but it lasts longer than other brands because you don't have to use alot. Also recommend the body wash.

I really like this moisturizer. Lightly scented and absorbs quickly. It’s made a big difference in relieving my dry skin. Especially my hands which were rough until I started using this. I’ve been using it several times a day for a week and my hands, including my fingertips are no longer rough! They are soft and smooth!

Professional review first: Nothing too special here, my friends. To me, this is more of a “I feel like being fancy for a minute” kind of lotion. And honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that! I wouldn’t rely on it as my main moisturizer. What works best for me is using my regular moisturizing lotion first, then keeping this around for touch-ups throughout the day and a little scent boost. The fragrance is pleasant, but it doesn’t really linger for very long. It’s more of a quick pick-me-up than an all-day scent. If you’re looking for intense hydration or long-lasting fragrance, this probably isn’t it. But if you want something that feels nice and gives you a little moment of luxury during the day, it does the job. Overall, it’s a nice treat, just not a product I would consider essential. What I should actually say (😝) That’s temporary emotional support in a bottle. “Did this lotion change my life? No. Did it make me feel like I had my life together while drinking coffee and pretending to answer emails? Absolutely.” “You know what? I deserve to smell expensive for the next 17 minutes.” Haha- have fun! 💋

my first experience with this brand, Salt and Stone, and let me tell you, I'm incredibly happy with it. wish it wasn't so expensive, but i really like the body lotion for my hands, it isn't greasy or oily after applying it, it smells fantastic! now i want to try their other prodcuts

I guess I just don't see the hype on this brand. The lotion is nice and the scent is just okay with zero lasting power. If I'm purchasing a scented lotion I most certainly want to smell it.

I LOVE the smell of the Santal & Vetiver! My only complaint is that I do wish the scent lasted a bit longer on the skin. Otherwise, it is perfect

This cream is a bit expensive, but the scent it leaves on the skin and the softness make it worth the price. I’m going to try the other scents too.

BLack Rose & Oud - Amazing smell, admittedly doesn’t last forever but I’d say the body lotion is stronger and better lasting than the hand cream. All salt & Stone smell amazing but I like Black Rose & Oud, smells sexy I think, Saffron & Cedar smells just like rouge baccarat, Neroli & Basil is deliciously fresh and clean!!

Good absorbtion but disappointed in the scent as I have bath and mist which smell great but lotion totally different ?
