This product as well as another same type of cartridge came in identical boxes with different ID tags. Both are shrink-wrapped in aluminized Mylar, sealed bags, so you're guaranteed a fresh set of cartridges. I put in the pair from the first box and spray-painted an object. Unlike the other cartridges (for dust and particulates) they replaced, I couldn't smell any paint vapor. The other cartridges took out the worst, but there was usually a faint odor. It was difficult getting this kind of filter for spray-painting because the product description wasn't too specific, but I kept looking. Now I think I have the right kind and I'm very pleased, since I don't like to sniff spray paint which affects not only my sense of smell but is also irritating to the nasal passages and really hate that sensation like you have something stuck in your nose (which I believe is caused by some minor form of nerve damage.) Great Filters!

Product arrived tightly vacuum sealed, as you would expect. Fit my 3M series 6K half face respirator perfectly. I understand these OEM cloned filters are not OSHA tested or approved, but I won't be using it on a regular basis for the organic vapor protection anyway. I primarily needed something mainly dust and particulate filtration outdoors and in my woodshop, but also wanted something that would be useful if/when I occasionally paint indoors with oil-based paints or primers.I used my respirator just last weekend when cutting the grass as late February / early March is pollen season for oak trees down here in the south. We have four of them on our small half acre. Everything is covered in that green pollen dust at the moment, and running the riding mower under and around the trees results in a constant cloud of itch to the eyes and sinuses encircling me. I wore my respirator using these particulate / organic vapor filters combined with a pair of safety goggles and of course ear protection. It worked great even though I looked like I was prepared for the apocalypse! Nobody in the neighborhood was laughing though as this is pretty much the only way to cut grass this time of year without sipping Benadryl as you go.Would I wear these filters inside an industrial paint booth on the daily? IDK. I'm sure they work the same as OEM. I'm just not sure I would bet my life on it to save a few dollars. However, for what I need them for, they work great!.

These did nothing to protect me from poly fumes. I briefly used poly spray and smelled the whole thing come through. I adjusted the mask and nothing. I went into the house, took off the whole mask, put it back on and nothing. Be on the safe side and get them directly from 3M. Your health is worth it.

I used this filter in a P95 mask by 3M. It seems to work well, it fit in the mask as it should. Didn't have any unusual smell to the filter. The filter looks good. Pretty good value.

The replacement pads work as a good alternative and a pinch to the normal one that I use. For the price, I felt that they didn’t do as good a job as they could have and kept these for a back up once my regular ones came as mentioned prior these are I alternative but they don’t compare to the OEM installed filtration pads.
