The Knife is beautiful, well assembled and had no flaws that I can perceive, yet as of review. It's hard to find a good linesmen knife in Canada so sneaking this beauty over the border was necessary for me. Blade has a clean pattern and it's visible through even to the edge. The edge is excellent if built a little too thick for my intentions but for linesmen who want heft its got that in spades. It's rather well balanced for such a hefty knife. They kept the pattern on the spine, which I appreciate, as it allows me much greater control on some odd cuts with hands as large as mine I can have my full hand on the handle and place my thumb 2/3 of the way across the blades spine. The handle is clean with no edges whatsoever, the pattern is nice and subtle the bolster could contrast a bit more. The length is just long enough for those with larger hands, such as my self. It's routine I have to put my own handles on any knife I get because my hand is 4 inches wide and for some reason handle standards being what they are is 3.75" or shorter. It could be a little thicker but that's more just my hands being large rather than the handle being small. The sheathe and the reason the review drops so harshly however is very underwhelming, has nearly zero retention, the sheathe isn't even moulded to the blade and the dye is cracking which means the penetration is very poor. The stitching wasn't done properly so it's already unravelling they should have buried the threads in between the welt rather than just do a single backstitch and hope it would hold. One final likely longer term issue is about the welt or more specifically how narrow it is, the blade tip runs right against the welt seam to the face or back of the leather meaning the blade will cut its way through to the stitching in short order. The throat on mine is already at that point. Overall a very nice purchase, But I will likely replace the sheathe with one of my own design.
