Sturdy, effective muscle relief
This thing is sturdy, as advertised, definitely don't feel like this would bend or break even with strenuous use, it's fiberglass so that's expected. It's light enough to use with ease and built in such a way that it's pretty intuitive to use. I got the "Elite" model which has numbered knobs and comes with a rather large poster style chart on which knobs are effective for various areas of the body which was super helpful as a newcomer to using one of these devices. The device itself is shaped so it gets right to the problem area almost scary accurately. First thing I used this on was my shoulder blade and it hugged right into that spot perfectly with zero effort. Slight pressure to the cane really digs into the exact spot you want and relief to your kotted muscles soon follows. I quickly tried this on a variety of other muscle groups and it works wonders. I wouldn't necessarily call this a massager since it's not designed to roll across the skin but rather apply acute pressure to specific spots. If you suffer from chronic pain or have need for muscle relief, this is an excellent tool. Highly recommend.

Great value for money and pain relieving!
Omg this little cane has flat changed my life! I am post op cervical fusion and this relieves my upper trap and shoulder blad trigger points, along with the occipitals. I love how there are numbers that tell what points are good for specific body parts. This product is well made, quality, is versatile, and the size allows it to be portable. I would buy this again and I recommend it!

Great tool for back & muscles.
Fourth back buddy in the family. Kids (30โs & 40โs) swear by them for ironing out kinks, tightness, and easing sore back muscles. This item comes with a chart that explains how all the knobs and hooks should be used. Some of them seem obvious but the chart helps answer where theyโre best applied. Highly recommended by the family!

Totally worth having but they miss on final manufacturing step that would take it over the top.
Sandpaper. A buffer. Something! The way it is made is like it is cast within two halves of a die, which leaves a seam all along the edge where the two halves mate. It is a minor ridge... but it is unpleasant especially when working parts of the tool against skin. So little effort would make such a difference. I am disappointed in the lack of attention to a basic detail. And am going to take sandpaper to mine. Shouldn't have to... So I am annoyed by that. Otherwise, the thing is pretty awesome. It is very solid. I am a larger person, and am confident putting a lot of pressure against this in twisting ways and it barely flexes at all under stress. High marks for the material. And, with a larger-sized girth, I am able to just manage the S-curves around my abdominal diameter to reach my back. Sometimes a bit tight and less than ideal, comfort wise. But it still works enough to give some relief. A plus-size person version would probably be a runaway hit if they bothered to cater to this pain-stricken demographic. Athletic models make for sexier advertisements, I understand. But still... People in pain will part with the money gladly if it brings them relief. This tool has been helpful to me from the start with my neck, upper and lower back, and feet. I am still learning ways to use it but got dividends right from the start. Now about this manufacturing issue... talking to you, Back Buddy makers... You're so 90% there with this. Step up your game and fix the scratchy "seam" issue. Invest in a buffer, and you'll knock it out of the park. Make a plus-size version, while you're at it. You're just walking away from good money and a grateful customer base. For all you normie-norm-norms out there with standard sized middles, this is probably almost perfect. If yours is scratchy like mine, sandpaper might just might do the trick if you don't mind the elbow grease and plastic (or resin?) dust blackening your lungs a little. (Wear a mask.. they're all the rage anyway).

LIFE-CHANGING!
I cannot say enough about this tool! I wanted to wait for about a month after purchasing it before writing a review so I could give a better opinion. Alone, it is a great product - but when combined with a good book on Trigger Point Therapy and a good Trigger Point Chart (the little one it comes with is pretty worthless), the results are life-changing! I had an L4 laminectomy in 2004. It was a very bad rupture and I was left with chronic pain and neuropathy, sciatica, etc. all these years. I have several areas of disc degeneration going on and scoliosis. The Dr.'s were of no help so I have always sought instead natural remedies like stretching, massage and chiropractic care and have spent untold thousands of dollars over the years. The longest I could get by without my Chiropractor was two weeks. I have not been to the Chiropractor in over a month now and don't really feel like I need to go yet. Normally, my muscles would be screaming for a massage right now since it's been over a month but they are just fine. Before using the "Buddy", my entire body would just hurt like I had Fibromyalgia or something. I had the good fortune to observe a Physical Therapy session on my granddaughter where the PT was testing her muscles to find the weaknesses. A light bulb came on for me and I started researching. First, I read the book (there are many available on Amazon) so I was able to understand the concept of Trigger Point Therapy better. Then I got to work on my Trigger points - both the major ones as well as many, "satellite" Trigger Points which had developed over the years all over my body. In addition, I used a tennis ball against a post to "roll" some of by back muscles and lateral muscles. Honestly, it hurt like heck for about three weeks and I almost gave up but I stuck with it and soon the pain was gone! I can lay my foot flatter on the floor and the muscles in that leg are now activated and supporting my back the way they should (my right leg and foot were hosed up from the ruptured disc). Blood flow has improved and the numbness is gone on the right side of my foot. When you release the Trigger Points, the muscles can relax and lengthen which allows you to then exercise and strengthen them. I will always have to be careful with and work on, my back. It is not magically "healed". But hopefully it will continue to improve as time goes on. Most body work revolves around relaxing the Trigger Points but professionals do not share this information with us and unless you go see them every couple days, those Trigger Points will not always go away. You have to work on them every day for a couple or few weeks to really get rid of them and enjoy the benefits (no pain!). I am ecstatic - no one can understand how limiting chronic pain can be and what it does to the spirit until they have experienced it for themselves. I am so happy to share this information with you and if even one person benefits the way I have after reading this, then it has been well worth my time to write this review. Knowledge is power people! Good luck to you -

Amazing product for back pain relief!
I have used this thing countless times in the years I've had it. It is amazing for trigger point release. It takes me from almost being in tears to blessed relief. I am so grateful!

Simple & effective
The greatest invention since the wheel! Itโs a good and very simple way to get instant relief from tightness. It does work, the more you use it the more you like it. Itโs a very good product, my opinion, for its effectiveness & price. Iโm glad they decided to keep it at a reasonable price because most everyone has some tightness in their back so this product should sell very well.

Underwhelming.
Was really excited to get this item and hoping to experience relief but this tool had some flaws. Maybe it works for others and it's just me but one the primary trigger point knob is just too pointy. The knobs numbered 1 and 2, which are what I would be using most. It's simply too damn pointy and hurts more than not. I've simultaneously bought another brand hoping to keep as a secondary to use and waited for this one expecting higher quality because it's made in the U.S. The other brand that I included pictures of, had knobs that were round which I found to be far more comfortable rather than painful. Again, maybe I'm not using this correctly but that pointy design just doesn't work for me. Both the blue(made in U.S.) and the black(made in China) felt like similar quality, I mean as should be if the imitation one also uses fiberglass/plastic composition. The black one has a big and smaller "hook" which I found offered more options in terms of usage. The handle designs looks all weird but strangely effective in terms of giving one grip and leverage. On both the blue and black products there are the knobs for massaging neck and lower back. I honestly don't know how to best use the ones for the neck OR the ones for lower back. Those neck knobs are all fixed distances which didn't feel like they were able to hit the right spot(both blue and black.) The lower back knobs, like wise, are fixed and I don't feel it hits the right spots either. The black one is even worse with the mutli-knob design. None of those knobs hits anywhere comfortable or for relief. I've bought the accessory product for neck massage and included pictures. Those seems like dense rubber of some sort with a little give which does feel comfortable when used on your neck. It's screwed in via plastic as seen in the pictures. You can adjust the distances of the two "golf balls." They should've incorporated this design into the trigger point massager cane instead of those hard stubby knobs. The accessory neck massager feels mostly plastic, or whatever material it's made of. Not sure how durable it is over time as stress is put on the material but if used with moderate force it shouldn't break. I don't see myself putting so much clamping force on my neck even with this being plastic, to the point of breakage. The stick is rather hard to take apart once attached but not so if you have two people to provide leverage while pushing down the locking mechanism with a proper too of some sort, just don't do it carelessly as I can see people causing self harm in the process. I'll be returning the blue one while keeping the black one from another seller, primarily due to the knob being pointy vs round. I prefer the round type. Would gladly buy American but these damn Chinese imitation products are so abundant and competitive with their design that they kick out multiple variations where some designs are actually better. Make another trigger point massager with rounded ends with the golf ball screw in design with some solid material instead of plastic that might break in the long run and I'll definitely be throwing my money for that new version!

Tolles Gerรคt
Einfach genial.

Sturdy and seems to do the trick. Absolutely fantastic.
Having had a bad back for numerous years now,I am at the end of my tether of trying to find products that will either help or cure. Not one has been successful....I've had Flexi bak, I've had a tennis ball plastic thing, I've had various heat belts that heat using magnets,I have a electric massager with heated balls no less,I have a posture corrector. I've always been put off this because of the ยฃ30 asking price and don't really see the point of cheaper imitations. Anyway,I got a gift card for Xmas rollso I took the plunge. Glad I did. Since I've used it ,I'm not saying I'm cured but my back feels so much better. Don't even know if I'm using it correctly.(I'm kinda sticking the balls in where I get pain, kneading the area for around 10 secs ,then releasing and apparently a surge of blood whooshes straight to the area, and aids the healing process. It sounds so simple and maybe it is because as I said previously,my back feels great. If you're unsure .....like I was.....take a punt. May be the best thing you do

Super tool!

Amazing!
This is the best trigger point massager I have ever used. Iโve bought cheaper ones which ended up breaking and this body back buddy elite feels indestructible. The different knots let you hit all the muscle groups really deep with a lot of strength. 100% recommend
