INSINKERATOR Garbage Disposal Putty-Free Rubber Sink Seal, FLG-Seal

Exactly what I needed when I installed my new garbage disposal. It fits like a glove and created a perfect waterproof seal. Much easier for installation than using plumber's putty and provides a very clean look. My opinion is that this seal is worth every penny and for the overall low cost, it's a no brainer. Perfect replacement for the old sink flange seal.

I've used plumber's putty and silicone for the flange/sink seal with a garbage disposal and both do not last and are messy. This thin rubber gasket worked great for an InSinkErator Badger 5. It was not too thick so that the water did not pool in the sink as some complaints I read about using a gasket. We will see if it passes the test of time over the next few years.

I would have liked to have the option of adding a gold basket for the drain that the gold seal lid would then cover

Was consisitently getting leaks using plumbers putty a few days install, and then reapplying and reinstalling. I finally gave this seal a shot and have not had a drop of water leak since, exactly what I needed!

This seal does what it says it will do, and it works well without leaks and was an easy installation. No mess or cleanup from putty, etc.
