Clean cut with no Irritation despite my bumpy dome
Took the plunge and and bald for the first time. Rubbed a small amount of shaving cream on. Had zero irritation, zero nicks cuts or burns. I have a lot of bumpy spots, moles, and cowlicks on my head and I was worried that it would be trouble; no problem for this shaver at all. It actually feels really good. Super easy to use and easy to clean with warm water. A better price than competitors from an electric razor company I trust. If you're ready to take the baldpill and worried about finding a clean cut, look no further.

Auto power on and off feature???
The head shaver worked fine until it was time for the first full charge. I plugged in the charger but it would not charge at all, no lights or anything came on. I even tried different outlets thinking it was a power issue on my end. I left it on the counter thinking it was defective and was planning to return it. Then one day shortly after I heard this buzzing sound and started looking around my apartment to see where the noise was coming from. Turned out to be the head shaver which powered on itself. And it powered off and on several times, then I hit the power button and it turned off. It did the same thing randomly for 3 days straight. Very weird. Anyway I now have to dispose of it because I do not want it powering on while I am out and then overheats and ignites causing my condo to burn down. This is just my honest review…I was really happy with it for the first few weeks and was even impressed that it lasted that long without a charge.

Best RAZOR I HAVE EVER PURCHASED!!!
This was the best purchase I have made from Amazon and over 5 years. When I say this razor outperform my expectations that's an Understatement. I've been purchasing items from Amazon for 10 years and this is the best purchase I have ever made. ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐

First electric razor? Read this
For context I have razor shaved my head for roughly 10 years this is my experience. First thing is this is not a razor and the blades don't touch your skin so the shave is not going to be the same. There maybe some spots where there is a stubble no matter how hard you try. This does have a battery cut off feature when there is too much strain on the battery. Too much pressure on the blades straines the battery so physical down force and amount of hair, play a factor in this. For me every other day and a light touch is how I have gotten away from it shutting off on me. A circular shave pattern has helped alot with a better shave. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol on my head before I shave, I have found it slides better. I'm just assuming it's from my skin oils being dried out. It does seem more complex but no shaving cream, rinsing, nicks/cuts and no hair all over the place makes it worth it for a regular maintenance shave. As another commenter has mentioned I have also gotten razor burn on my neck and haven't figured out how to stop it, maybe sensitive skin? With that being said I will still use a regular razor for special events but just a regular maintenance shave I am sold.

Better than the FlexSeries Freebird
edit: It's been nearly two and a half years and I wanted to provide an update. I've had some issues where the blades (even new ones) getting bound up and the light on the shaver starts blinking. When this happens, even with a full charge, it requires me to charge it again (only the first of 4 lights blinks, indicating that it's a nearly dead battery). I think it's a degrading battery and/or motor. I'm going to take some stars off. Two years of service is decent, but I hoped for more. Changing from 5 to 3. I've been thinning up top and decided to take the plunge and be a bald guy. I previously ordered the FlexSeries Freebird. It was great, my first experience went well. But after using it a couple weeks, it was turning on and off all by itself so I had to send it back. Enter the Remington Balder Deluxe. I noticed right away this thing is a little more hefty, and it chews through hair a lot more smoothly. You can just tell by how the motors spin up, there is an audible difference between the two razors. I would liken it to a mower; some mowers you can plow through tall grass and the motor will bog down, other mowers blast right through it with hardly a pitch change to the motor. This is the comparison I would make between the Balder Deluxe and the Freebird. I don't get the razor bumps on the back of my head like I did with the Freebird. And with the extra gear (the 2nd button that turns the motors faster) I can get the job done pretty quickly. For reference, I shave about every other day and I do it in the shower with a Cremo shaving lotion. I have blond hair that has a regular thickness to it. I'm only balding a little on top in the back. So I don't have super thick wiry hair or anything. Now, as far as packaging and presentation goes, the Freebird wins hands down. Really cool box and instructions, really nice case. A+ on marketing. But if the device doesn't last, all of the fancy packaging is for nothing. The Balder Deluxe came with a weak looking case and no other accessories, but it gets the job done.

Remington Balder Deluxe XR7100 Head Rotary Shaver
Quite disappointed with this product—there is nothing “deluxe” about it other than the price. After a single use, the battery stopped charging entirely, making it unusable. On top of that, the blade head does not stay securely attached, which raises serious concerns about overall build quality and durability. Unfortunately, this happened outside the return window since I only purchased it as a backup for quick use instead of my usual razor. That makes the experience even more frustrating. At this price point, I expected reliability and solid construction. This product delivers neither. Would not recommend.
