9 Lives - 9 Movie Collection

Package came quickly, and man oh man, was it worth every penny. You get 9 full-length feature films here, on 3 discs, and my package was near mint condition! I know not everyone's going to like every movie on this collection, but it's hard to argue that they put a great set together. You've got a little bit of variety in action movies, changes of pace along the way, and a little for all fans alike. Not sure if I could call them all "family" movies, but there's certainly worse out there. I'd had to start with Stealth, a maybe perfect movie for anyone new to Blu Ray, or want to test their new television's picture out. If you haven't seen it yet, there's not much to worry about here -- just sit back and enjoy the ride! Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, and a few other familiar faces fill out the cast, and this kinda feels like a love letter from the earlier part of the 2000s. The soundtrack, attitude, and right balance between all the notes, tempted to say this movie's a classic in it's own right. 💥💥💥💥💥 (out of 5) Last Action Hero, yes, I've probably seen 1000 times before now, but the 1001st time on Blu Ray, was an incredible experience. Seeing movies you hold fondly, almost again for the first time, is worthy of purchase alone. Colors are vibrant, and even more beautiful this time around! This is maybe Top 3 of my favorite Arnie movies, and again, if you'd not seen it yet, do so! While not as goofy as Kindergarten Cop, you can at least have a great movie night with the family, with not so many worries for leaving the wrong impressions. Lovely film to me. 💥💥💥💥💥 (out of 5) I'll edit more reviews in maybe, I'm only 3 movies through of the nine. Overall, 1-star non-descript reviews shouldn't be much gauge for worthy purchases, but for whatever it's worth, I'd definitely recommend buying a copy of "9 Lives Movie Collection" for yourself, or as a gift, there's no way you could lose out, only if they're no longer available!

I ordered this 9 Lives - 9 Movie Collection - Blu-ray because I thought it would be great to re-watch and watch for a good action collection. When I received the collection (In one DVD/Blu-ray sleeve) I was surprised because there are 3 discs and only 2 places to hold the three (3) discs. I understand the thought that if your watching one disc then there is no problem. However, when not watching and storing the collection; you have one disc than is unsecured and open to damage (yes, while in the Blu-ray sleeve!) Other than this annoying way of stowing the collection. They have played as expected so far. Because of the case, I really wanted to rate them at 3 1/2. I recommend this set with caution as to my misgivings above!

Good set of movies.

Great price for a collection of 9 movies. Unfortunately, these movies come on 3 discs, so movies are roughly 1/3 the quality of a normal blu ray, and it shows. Some look better than others. Vertical Limit is straight up blurry in some scenes, while Silent Rage is both extremely grainy and visibly compressed. Probably wouldn't have been as disappointed if I knew this is how the collection would be, but seeing it advertised as blu ray, I expected blu ray quality. I ended up purchasing another copy of Last Action Hero, because I wanted to have a higher quality version for my collection. For the rest of the films, it's like watching a rental on Netflix. Not bad.

The set is a good mixture of movies. For the price it's worth upgrading from DVD format to blue ray.
