Daybreak Nutrition Fiber for Dogs Psyllium Husk Powder

This is the only thing that helped my German Shepherd who struggled with what felt like constant diarrhea for several months after we first brought her home. We're talking 'cant make it to the door' runs- every day, multiple times a day. Poo puddles. It wasn't pretty. I had tried everything from pumpkin, chicken and rice, different foods, "perfect poo" supplements, a vet check (she checked out fine) and more, but nothing worked before I found Daybreak. After some trial and error figuring out the correct amount for her specifically- my dog has not had diarrhea in months and if her stools start to seem too loose I give her an extra half scoop or so and it firms back up. Even with her being a large dog and occasionally giving her a little extra, my 12oz container has lasted us for a good while too and im about to buy another before we run out. :) The ingredients are natural, there aren't any fillers and its manufactured in the USA which is all fabulous. It shipped fast, came to me well packaged and had a scoop in the container which makes life easy. I mix it into her regular food with a little water so it'll stick to the kibble, but she will also eat it dry if im in a hurry so its super simple to add to her food without hassle. I will be keeping this supplement in hand for my dogs at all times from now on because its also helped my other dog through the occasional tummy trouble as well.

I have a dog with IBS. She rescued herself by running into my front yard. I realized pretty quickly, and sadly, that this is why she was probably abandoned. At fist, I was cooking her chicken and rice with pumpkin puree, but that was overwhelming, because this wasn't an animal I sought out. I mean I love her, but it's a lot of work for me. Then, a friend suggested just mixing her dry food with pumpkin. That was much easier but then after pumpkin was no longer easily available (not Thanksgiving season), it became difficult. Plus, I hate to be a spoil sport, but also a P.I.T.A. I started to seek out alternative options. This was a game changer for us. First of all, she loves the taste of this more than she loves pumpkin - and she really loved the pumpkin. Plus, its way easier for me to manage. And, when we need to send her to doggy day care or a sitter, I know this is going to be much easier for them to keep up with. She licks the bowl. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Great for dogs with anal gland issues. Easy to use just sprinkle it on their food. Doesn’t smell. Keeps my dogs poop happy and healthy.

We have a 11 year Sheltie who has struggled with serious digestive issues most of his life. We have tried everything under the sun. This fiber supplement was our most recent attempt to improve his frequent loose stool issues (the vet diagnosed him with ulcerative colitis/IBS). Initially this product seemed to be working, his stools firmed up a bit, but after a few weeks his diarrhea slowly returned. The product quality is very good and he liked the taste mixed with his food. It has a rather "earthy" smell. I loved the short list of ingredients, which is a big plus IMO. Recently, we revisited making his food at home with human grade ingredients. We did this years ago after losing a dog to cancer, but it's an arduous task and requires a time commitment and a bit of extra freezer space. Ultimately, what goes into his homemade food is what's in the jar so it was no longer needed. Going back to making our dog food at home and giving him PetTabs vitamins is what actually finally fixed his gut issues. We cook a massive batch of ground chicken, lean hamburger, organic apples, spinach, quinoa, ground flax seed, oat fiber, whole oats, sweet potato and blueberries in a huge roasting pan. It makes 8 weeks of food when loaded into 4 lb tubs and placed in the freezer We eliminated all commercial wet food, although he still gets a "tiny" sprinkle of high grade commercial kibble with his mash twice a day and his gut issues have resolved completely, plus he lost some extra pounds and his coat looks fabulous.

My pit-bull had anal gland issues for the longest (5 years) now we almost even resulted to getting the glands removed . She would scoot often and have to get the anal gland expression done either monthly or every 2-3 months . This became a stressful routine as one of the glands were always "harder" to express eventually. I've used other anal gland supplements and tried the sweet potatoes and green beans , adding natural fibers etc. nothing seemed to help. I tried this out in hopes of it helping reduce how often she has to see the vet for the expression , but two months in and I am here sharing our experience and strongly believe this product has helped significantly !! After 5 years this is the first appointment the tech said both sides were EMPTY !! . Scooting definitely reduced and I will be using this long term thank you for this product !
