It's a nice light fragrance. Smoky vanilla

I was really excited to try Vanilla Sky from Skylar since I love gourmand scents and the idea of a hair + body mist is very appealing to me. Starting with the positives, the packaging and spray are great. The mist is very fine and diffused, which makes it perfect for hair. It has almost a slight delay when you press it, so you can evenly mist around your head without accidentally soaking one spot. I also like using fragrance in my hair since it tends to last longer, and this performs well in that regard. Longevity is actually pretty solid for a mist. I was able to smell it for several hours, and it stayed fairly true to the original scent without fading into something completely different. That said, the scent itself just wasn’t what I was hoping for. Based on the notes (vanilla, cappuccino, caramel), I expected something warm and sweet, but on me it reads more like a slightly heavy, almost potpourri-like fragrance. I think the cedarwood base comes through quite strongly and shifts it away from that cozy gourmand direction. It’s not an unpleasant scent, just not what I personally wanted or expected. If you like warmer, woodier fragrances with a hint of sweetness, you might enjoy this more than I did. The size is generous for the price, especially compared to traditional perfumes, so it feels like a good value if the scent works for you! Overall, I like the concept and performance, but the scent itself didn’t quite match my expectations.

Smells so good! It's warm, long lasting if you spray it in your hair, and the bottle can easily fit in your purse. I do wish there was a larger size as I went through it pretty quickly!

I was hesitant to buy just the perfume due to the $$ so I thought I try the mist to make sure I liked the scent! I absolutely love the vanilla scent and how the contents are a safer swap and don’t contain harmful ingredients that absorbs into my skin. Definitely love Skylar brand and will continue to support this company. I’m going to buy the perfume once I run out of the mist
