Laptop Lifestyle: Reclaim Your Life by Making Money Online ( No Experience Required) Paperback – September 1, 2016

I am reading this book for the third time! It's not one of your typical "make money" types of books full of hyped up claims and bogus stories of riches flying out of your computer if you follow a few simple strategies.Rather, the beauty of this book is that it is down to earth, honest, and presents internet marketing as a real business full of pitfalls, challenges, and the like but one that is lucrative if you heed their example.Greg and Fiona are two entrepreneurs who present themselves very much as "normal" people who decided to give internet marketing a try and spent their first year or two spinning their wheels, buying bogus products and trying this that simply didn't work despite the claims of the "gurus" selling them. They eventually figured out that this is a business just like any other and needs to be approached as such. Most books don't tell you this which is why I like their story.What I must like about this book is that they are REAL people who admit they made huge mistakes from the start, got sucked in to "get rich quick schemes" (and at least warn you of the temptations along the way), had to navigate through the minefields of challenges no one thinks about at the start (e.g. do YOU really have the discipline to be your own boss and get work done when no one is watching? I mean really, who thinks about that when they get started with their own business?)This one is not for experienced marketers, however, they probably wouldn't get much from it. However, it is extremely telling for anyone interested in either Internet Marketing or for those who have tried it and got no where - they prove it can be done but will take time and effort.My advice, if you're new to this or are thinking about internet marketing as a way to build either passive income or start a full time business, get it, read it, then read it again.

I purchased this book a couple of days ago via Amazon and read it today. I'd say this book is written for a 'complete novice'. It has good tips on finding a niche, using free software and marketing via sites such as YouTube. Their advice provides a guideline, but I would have preferred more in-depth information. I am disappointed to see there are no real life examples of others who have succeeded at their niches. The only example that is shown is Greg and Fiona's information/marketing website.What is off putting about this book is that it's heavy on 'self-help' There's a whole chapter on it and it goes into great depth. This is good if you need some motivation to start, but is it necessary to have a huge chapter devoted to it? I must admit I rolled my eyes when they mentioned 'The Secret'.The other thing that I disliked is that all their chapters contain links going back to their website as well as pictures of the couple living their life style. This reminds me of the way Amway likes to sell their business. I can't help but think that this is a marketing ploy to sell their marketing classes/products further.Now that I have read the book, I have taken the time to read the Amazon reviews. It does seem very weird that all the reviewers have given glowing reviews, but have never reviewed other books. This is very disappointing and I hope Amazon changes it's policy on reviewers.Summing up it's big on motivation and includes some good advice for a complete novice to get started. I'd leave this one alone though if you've already read other books on on-line start-ups.

Greg and Fiona pulled out all the stops! They do a wonderful job of demystifying and simplifying a subject that can seem overwhelming and daunting. There is so much value here! They share a ton of resources. They explain the importance of having the right mindset and how to develop it in yourself. Every relevant topic is addressed, but they don't overwhelm you. This is an easy read - very digestible. Learning from your mistakes is a wise thing to do, but learning from other people's mistakes is even better! They've walked point on the subject of online marketing and removed all of the tripwires for us. These guys have mentored me for a few months, now, and the book is still worth it's weight in gold. Thanks, Greg and Fiona, for such a generous offering of knowledge and encouragement within these pages.

I read this book and it gave some awesome information. It was descriptive in what you needed to have to get your website started and what websites were good to use to get started. However you may have to get further information if you are just a beginner at bringing or connecting the websites together. I really loved the book and will definately keep it around to read over and use as a reference. It does share some awesome information in it. I purchase 99% of my books from Amazon. They carry a wider variety of these types of books. I guess other book stores don't want you to learn these things. LOL. Thank you Greg and Fiona for the great info.

A good overview. Probably a little over emphatic about the preparation. Okay - very, very necessary, but I was champing at the bit to find out how they achieved things.They based the book on personal experience and, I have to agree, if they can do it, then so can I.Greg and Fiona Scott have a bit of Business and ICT experience in the Corporate world. Luckily I do to -- because I'm not sure how well a raw beginner would follow.Good effort

Greg and Fiona Scott have created a must read for all internet business entrepreneurs. Before starting your business, it is critical to build a solid foundation and this book gives you the fundamentals. For those who have always had jobs, being an entrepreneur requires a major shift in thinking. Greg and Fiona have made that transition and understand what it takes. I wish this book had been published a year ago when I was first starting my internet marketing business. The best chance for success is to model your business after someone who has already been successful. Greg and Fiona have given us step by step instructions and I am confident that those who follow them will be on the path to a successful laptop lifestyle.

I really was impressed!! I enjoyed reading Living a Laptop Lifestyle very much. It was really well written, straight forward in it's delivery and very easy to understand. The authors convey a very personable and relatable attitude, as they share personal stories and also seem to truly understand how the reader may think and feel regarding different situations. I found the book to be comprehensive, informative and a really helpful tool for anyone wanting to become a successful online entrepreneur. It is obvious from reading this book that Greg and Fiona really are intelligent and well informed professionals who are an authority in their field. I feel anyone who reads this book and applies what is written, would definitely excel online in their own business. I recommend this read.

This was one of the first books I read as I started looking at a "Laptop Lifestyle" and I'm glad I did! It covers the topic incredibly well, and gives a well balanced view of what it truely takes to build and operate a successful online business. What was very clear early on, is that this lifestyle does not come easily, and takes a good deal of effort up front to get the results. However, if you are willing to put in that effort, then the results can be very rewarding.The authors clearly try there best to give as much value throughout the book, with all the various tools and resources they use covered in detail.If you are considering a 'Laptop Lifestyle', and building an online business, then I strongly recommend reading this book. I'm sure like me, you will come back to it time and again as a major reference resource.

As someone who has adopted this lifestyle for the past few years, I can say that the authors have provided a lot of great info on how to start living this way. I wish I'd read it a few years ago, but I have also found that everything they've said is accurate. This kind of lifestyle isn't for everyone but if it appeals to you, this book will give you some helpful things to consider.

You must read this book.You will love it or hate it.
