Great set of Barbie dolls!

The purchase was worth it because my daughter wanted this doll so much and she’s a happy girl now😀

Barbie has come a long way since her release in 1959, and now, fully embracing diversity, girls can play with dolls doing all manner of careers. In this set of four, each character has a different job - Studio Exec, Director, Cinematographer and "Movie Star". My daughters love playing with the set, and it helps reaffirm that they're not limited to the "stereotypical" dress-up roles that dolls can take. As well as diversity of (film) careers, I loved to see the diversity of other features of these dolls; different hair colour, skin tones, eye colours and body types. It's refreshing to see real differences in the dolls beyond just what they wear, and that they're not just plastic copies of each other. Dolls themselves are usual quality Barbie dolls - moveable at hips, shoulders and heads (but not elbows or knees). A full range of film-props are also included for the dolls to accessorize with (from a film camera to mobile phone to a script). Of course, all can be worn by any of the dolls, so you can choose the roles yourself. Bravo Barbie, for embracing diversity and giving genuine choice to girls out there!

First impressions of this were really positive, Barbie has come along way since I was a kid! From a parents perspective, I love how each Barbie looks different and that the theme of the set is around their different careers, it’s exactly the type of toy and messaging I want my daughter (5) to have! The set comes with 4 Barbie’s each with their own career; studio executive, director, cinematographer, and movie star, so all quite glamorous job roles that can be used together to imagine they are making a movie etc. To be honest, I’d of probably preferred a more diverse range of careers, but my daughter loves them. You can obviously also swap the clothes etc around so they can play different parts. Overall, I thought this was a really nice set and my daughter has had hours of entertainment with it so I’d be very happy to recommend it.

These lovely dolls have great proportions and beautiful tones. The quality of the clothing and the detailed facial features are exceptional. They would make a perfect gift for a little girl and are also ideal for collectors. I enjoy collecting them because I didn't have the privilege of owning many dolls as a child.

Bought these for a Barbie loving daughter who works in the film industry. She adored them, so it was a great gift. Just very expensive.

Diversity over all on these 4 Barbie dolls. I am glad that Barbie is no longer the slim tall blonde hair doll and that now it comes in all shapes ,body styles,with all having different dreams and jobs. This set is inspired by a trophy winner and the crew behind which are a movie star with award, cinematographer with camera, director with script and studio executive with mobile phone. All beautifully made ,dressed up differently with all cute small accessories. A good set for play and pretend for the little girls,inspiring and creative. Great gift 🎁
