I put a set of these in my 2012 Tundra, they are powered by a cheap hifonics amp with a Kenwood head unit. They have been installed for over a year now, they sound fantastic still and have been abused! I will be buying these for a new Subaru Crosstrek I just bought when I upgrade the stereo.

I have a pair of the JBL GTO629 6.5" in the front doors of an old toyota 2009 corolla with another pair of other sized jbl speakers in the back of my car and with the right tuning and adjustments with a good headunit, these speakers can be very loud! I ditched my old car radio and installed an aftermarket radio ( Pioneer AVH-1550NEX) . I mainly download mp3s I stream from youtube/ online and make playlists, put them in usb format and play them on my headunit. I find the quality is better played by mp3 via USB than bluetooth streaming. Very pleased as I'm a person who loves playing music in my car LOUD. The bass is pretty good too from sounds that require it. A good bang for your buck if you ask me.

This is perfect for your car! Don't waste money on cheaper speakers. This is it! Excellent base even with the top down. Absolutely amazing quality if you're a hip-hop head, rave music, or just instrumentals. This is it!

It’s a night and day difference so much better you can just tell by picking up the box compared to stock which are made of paper BTW you’re gonna hear way more clarity where JBL shines more bass but you’re limited on the head unit all around good upgrade, especially with the front make sure you get the brackets and if you wanna go the extra mile speaker gaskets

They are JBL, what's more to say. If you have a good deck these things rock! They do have bass but they are not a subwoofer. They compliment my 4,000 watt system very nice with treble amd some mid bass. I don't use them for low bass but they do sound very good

3 stars due to one of the speakers being defective. I got this last month as a Christmas gift to myself. I finally got around to installing it yesterday, and found unfortunately one of my speakers is defective. How did I find this out? When I installed it, no sound came through. Weird, I made sure all the boxes were checked. After troubleshooting thinking I missed something, I decided to try the other speaker it came with, and sound came through. So now I have only one JBL speaker in my car. Disappointing since I spent so much money on this just for it to be broken. I’m very pleased however with the quality of the one I do have installed, very nice, strong base to it. Now I’m on the fence as what to do from here though. Going to try and file a return for damaged product.

Excelente calidad de bocinas, se escuchan fuertes y con gran claridad. Recomiendo que se instalen con un estéreo que permita configurar bien los ecualizadores.

I purchased these speaker in the summer of 2024. I am now using them for more than 6 months. They are replacing the OEM speaker in a Jeep Wrangler JK 2 doors 2012. The ones over the head. For the price I paid for, I don’t think you can get a better sound quality. The build quality is next level compared to the OEM. They were at least twice the weight due to a much bigger magnet. I bought adapters for the wiring and the install was a breeze. I am thinking to buy a second set to change the one in the dash.
