Is this seasoning more salty or sweet?

I would say not sweet, more like spicy.

Yeast extract is the same as MSG

It is not. Yeast extract is derived from processing brewer's yeast cells.

Is this similar to Texas Roadhouse steak fry seasoning?

I can't say because I haven't had the Roadhouse seasoning, but I will say that I don't like this Joe's as much as I thought that I would. Maybe the reviews raised my expectations too high or something. I'm barely using the Joe's.
