Good quality finish.
I bought these hinges to replace the hinges on doors in our hallway after getting a hall rug. They are a good match for the other quality hinges on the other doors. The door did need some material planed from the top inside edge, but I was prepared for this and it was easily done with a power plane. The hinges are very smooth running and give about 5mm lift at 90 degree opening, enough for our thin rug.

Initial impressions were good, but a bit of metal flashing spoilt the appearance a little.Not sufficiently bad to warrant returning.

what's with that 'glue'
Thick, 3mm steel. There is at the end of the spigot, some 'glue' type material. What for, difficult to get rid of. Must be removed if you want the action to be smooth. It is also 4inch, that is 102mm.
