This food is great. My cat has been vomiting, that started about a year ago. It was once in a while but over time became more frequent. When I took her to the vet, tur b s out she had many p problems. One she had a broken jaw that was not obvious, kidney stone, and a bladder infection after her surgery on her jaw we changed her diet to wet food. It took g her a bit to make the change, but she was still vomiting. I tried many brands of wet food but she kept vomiting. A friend of mine suggested renal food. All the brands I heard of required a prescription, except this one. She's been eating it 8 days now. No vomiting, and she's starting to put weight on, and I am so thankful. My Nollie seems to enjoy her food. I even got her the wet food for a variety. Her stool is a little looser than when she was on a hard food, but she is improving, and at 15 1/2 years old, she's much better. Thank you for this product.

I have an 18 year old cat and she’s on and off with her appetite. Usually she just goes for the Tiki Cat Mousse Salmon and Pumpkin, but I always have dry kibble out for her. We didn’t test her but kinda figured she has some kidney failure due to her age and steady weight loss over the years. I purchased a small bag at first… and she was immediately HOOKED. She started eating it like she was starved. I’ve never seen her act like this with any dry food. After about 2 weeks we already started to notice her gaining some weight (which I had given up on due to her age). She is acting more alert and active as well. I would absolutely recommend this food, it feels like a miracle and I wish I wouldve tried it out sooner!!! I don’t notice any strange smell or issues with the food, it hasn’t had any effect on her stools.

My cat is 19 has kidney failure for over 3 years..at this point he is beyond his life expectancy. Dry kibble isnt good for him but he is used to it and wants so hoping the dry made for his issues is at least better for him..I have been feeding this same brand wet and add a bit of water every few hours and reset as long as he eats going thru 1 container per day for 4 months now. He's very thin and I've been patient caring for him but he is staying hydrated for the day and hanging in..His end of life has some quality and I think this brand is assisting me. It's expensive but all specialty foods are so I try not to waste.

This is the only hydrolyzed cat food that I could find for my tortoiseshell cat, who is allergic to chicken and tuna. The ingredient list sounded wonderful and I loved the heart shaped omega pieces made from anchovies. It was as if the company was sending love to my cats. I also appreciated that this food was made in Italy, which meant that the ingredients were not tainted with glyphosate. My silver tabby kept spitting out the heart shaped pieces and threw up on the food after 4 days of eating it. After 3 weeks, my torty was constipated, her fur was straw like and she could no longer climb the stairs or jump up on furniture. Within a week of giving her a non-hydrolyzed protein food again, those symptoms were gone. Fortunately, after giving her a de-wormer, dandelion and probiotic regiment, she is doing much better. Hopefully, she didn't have the start of kidney issues, it was an inflamed gut issue that stressed her kidneys. Forza, please consider using pumpkin, sweet potatoes and/or squash instead of rice in this formula. Thanks.

Anyone with a cat with Chronic Renal Disease, should read ALL the 1-star reviews first!!! I do not know why this product is showing an overall 4+ review rating. I think that is more for the dog food, not cat food. I ordered this canned food and as many mentioned, it smelled awful, but after a day, my cats ate it. What worked well is the hydrolyzed protein which basically breaks up protein smaller than normal which helps sensitive stomachs and aids easier digestion. With 4 cats with chronic renal disease in Stage 2, suddenly, the vomiting stopped, which was great! HOWEVER, the small expensive food cans had A Lot of bones too large for any cat to chew or swallow. My cats just spit them out or ate around them. At first, I just threw them away, but after I bought another box of food, there were so many bones I started saving the larger ones. I had almost a full container before I accidentally knocked it over and lost in the drain. Still, you can see those I saved in the picture, with a pencil eraser as size comparison. Read on and see other pictures of many people who posted 1-star reviews showing blue & white plastic pieces in their food. A LOT of issues with Quality Control!!! They say everything is upscale, quality and made in regulated facilities. PHOOEY!! No USA regulated facility would allow all of these foreign substances at dangerous sizes allowed in food that is NEVER recalled!!!!! Check the dates of the complaints! Finding food these kitties will eat isn't easy nor cheap!!! At first I believed their marketing and ordered from Amazon. But the last order I received was from Chewy and was different. I called the USA office in Florida and was told it was only the packaging, so I kept it. But once I ordered it, I noticed it didn't smell the same, there were no bones...which I thought was good. However, my cats would not touch or go near the food. They ate the other formula...but not this one. That's when I went back to Amazon to check reviews. I WAS SHOCKED. When I read others complaining about sharp large plastic pieces in the food, pictures of various blue plastic throughout the food, and others complaining that their cats wouldn't touch the new formula, plus people saying they too were told it was a new package only....I realized the USA office wasn't telling people the truth. That may not be their fault. The company may not be telling them the truth and they are just repeating what they were told. This wet food should have been pulled from the market due to quality control issues and should not be allowed to be sold as it is very dangerous to cats. Upon reading all the 1 star reviews, I realized that the formula did indeed change in another big way. The old formula had salmon and lamb in it. The new formula has no salmon at all. Also newly included was pig liver and lamb lung. Major formula changes!! Cats were attracted to the salmon...now there is none. Not sure why but my 4 cats will barely touch this food now. I kept thinking they'd get used to it, but after one cat started getting weaker and weaker...and not eating either the dry or wet food...I panicked and gave some other food. OMG, the next day the cat was walking again!!! I felt horrible that the cat was just refusing to eat because of that food!! That's when I went to check the dry food to see what was in it since they cats weren't eating it either. I had just bought the dry food, but they wouldn't touch it either. To my surprise, the ingredients was not written on the bag. HOW ODD!! I thought that was required in the USA??? I immediately realized this company does not operate with the same controls as a USA company. Since this is the only Renal food I know that does not require a vet prescription, I got very concerned they had virtually no quality control because all these issues had gone on for a long time. I immediately went out and bought new food at the vets office, and removed all this food & threw it away. I didn't even trust giving it to a shelter because I didn't trust it and wouldn't want any other cats to get sick from it. I haven't found were to complain about the quality control yet, but its definitely NOT with the USA office in Florida . DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY OR THEIR MARKETING BECAUSE everyone who has complained, has similar stories. Quality Control is not adequate if it even exist and it isn't worth hurting your loved pet over. Amazon needs to separate the dog food reviews from the cat food reviews. And they need to separate the dry from the wet reviews. It appears the dog reviews are better than the cat reviews....at least I didn't see anything dangerous to the dogs like there are for cats. They can hide a lot of negative reviews by combining all the reviews for all of the brand!!! DO NOT GIVE TO YOUR CATS!!

I had a need for kidney cat food but did not want to deal with prescriptions and the extreme cost. I worked with AI to do an analysis of different brands, finding that this one was the best solution in terms of nutrients and access. It's not far off from the Rx brands in terms of quality, and my cat likes it. My vet didn't have any recommendations for non-Rx food and I actually shared this food with them for awareness.

My elderly kitty (15 yrs old) gobbled this down the second I set it for her. The food looks like it is moist, not dried out/crunchy. It appears to be very fresh. The bag has a zip lock seal. There was no noticible odor or scent when I opened the bag. I have still ordered the expensive name brand version w a prescription from my vet. I would like compare the ingredients. It would be nice to have an alternative choice incase I run out of prescription food or if kitty will not eat the expensive prescription version. I am not a paid reviewer. I rarely write reviews. I think it is important for other kitty owners to have honest feedback on this product as you may be scrambling to find relief for your beloved kitty. My kitty has been diagnosed with stage 2 kidney failure. This is not intended to be a miracle cure or solution, but an effort to help her to be more comfortable & have a better quality of life until the inevitable occurs!

よく考えられて作られた療養食なのはとてもありがたいですが食いがイマイチなのが少し残念です。食べてくれるかどうかはチャレンジですね。
