Yes, but some plants are much more difficult to root than others.

Will it work with a cloning machine that uses a root misting technique?

Yes it will. Disregard those who say you don't need it... the whole purpose of this stuff is FASTER and STRONGER root growth. I use this with an aeroponics system.

Will clonex work on daylilies? i would like to coat a daylily root / bulb with this stuff and plant it, hoping it will take hold. can this be done?

You certainly could try, but GH' s Rapid Start would be a better product.
