Excellent; works great with Alexa

I did so much searching for a microwave everywhere. Finally I found this on Amazon. I need I say it is perfect for us. I like that you can take off the buzzer when it’s finally done. It’s clean looking there’s a light inside the microwave. And it is a good size without being overwhelming or too small. Separately I had purchased a round rubber cover for the glass that turns when microwave is on and let me tell you that has been wonderful also. So if you buy any microwave, I don’t have the link to what I got but you could Google it. It was from Amazon. It’s perfect.

Wors well. Not a fan of the child lock. Is this really necessary?

I bought this microwave to replace a significantly more expensive 1200 watt Panasonic that I had to return because it was poorly made. I didn’t have a lot of choices because of cabinet-related space constraints and the need for proper ventilation, and I was curious to see how a modestly priced 1000 watt microwave oven would work for me. Bottom line is that I really like the Sharp-it is attractive, well made and works great. The child lock (which I don’t need at this point) was easy to disable. I would highly recommend this microwave.

This is a wonderful microwave. It's quiet. It's really big for a small oven. It also works great with alexa.

I just got this microwave after having a very cheap microwave. I decided to test it by making a frozen dinner and actually following the directions. 3 minutes then stir and cook for 1.5 more. I truly thought no way. My old one would have to cook for at least 6-7 before being able to stir. After 3 minutes, to my surprise, I could stir and then it cooked up perfectly in the end. My old microwave could never! I’ve been living without one for about 7 months cause I figured why bother, but I’m so happy I decided to buy this one.

This Sharp microwave is amazing. It works seamlessly with Alexa and performs so very well. If you want a quality microwave that works flawlessly with Alexa, this is it!

I absolutely despise this thing. It’s a microwave with wifi, which, if it worked perfectly would be asinine and useless because, you know… the whole thing about requiring food to be physically present. But the WiFi functions don’t actually work. When not connected to wifi, an icon flashes endlessly. You must use the Alexa app to connect it to wifi. When it is connected to WiFi, it syncs to the wrong time zone for your location which in my case is 2 hours slow. the Alexa app has an option to manually change the device’s time zone, but those changes don’t stick on confirmation and the original time zone remains. Setting time manually only temporarily corrects the time zone problem and the unit will phone home and reacquire the wrong time. Without the Alexa app, it’s impossible to stop the WiFi icon from flashing. Instructions in the manual and online documentation literally do not work. The accursed thing will confirm “WiFi off” and then the icon will continue to flash. Perplexingly, if you connect it to WiFi through Alexa and then disable WiFi, the icon will temporarily stop displaying. But if the unit loses power it will return to its endless flashing.
