First off, I have very thin, fine, oily and curly hair that I have to wash every day <SIGH>. With other straighteners I've used (cheapest one at the store), my hair would practically start curling at the ends w/in the hour. So I started reading reviews on the MANY flat irons out there. I tried a chi but it didn't have temp control (set at ~425 degrees I think) and that was literally burning my hair. It did straigten but hair seemed stiff. So after reading the wonderful reviews on this, I purchased it through Amazon and I love it! I don't even have to blow dry my hair (unless I'm looking for extra volume). I just let it dry naturally and usually only have to go through each section once. I use it at the lowest temp which is 300 degrees which works great for me and it takes less than 10 min. It stays straight for most of the day and leaves my hair looking shiny. This isn't super thin but by no means bulky and it heats up fast. I'm so relieved to finally find something that works well for my hair! *** UPDATE***: About 3 weeks into using this something went wrong with the circuitry and it literally burned off a chunk of hair! Since I'd never heard of anything like that happening in the hundreds of reviews I'd read, I know something must have gone wrong w/ my unit. So I returned it with no problems. Now instead of ordering the same thing again, I decided to get the 1" unit (BaByliss Pro BABNT3072 Nano Titanium-Plated Ultra-Thin Straightening Iron, 1 Inch) instead b/c I figured it would be less bulky and I could use it as a curler too. Unfortunately, the 1" unit did not work as well as this one. It straightened my hair but I had to go over sections a couple of times and it didn't keep my hair straight for as long. It also didn't feel like the plates went through my hair as smoothly. I don't know if I didn't adjust the temp right but I just couldn't get it to mimic the results I had with the original iron so I returned that one too. I'm gonna research a little more but I think I'll probably purchase the original one again. Hopefully my incident was just a fluke.

Not just for long hair and put a WOW in my mid-length short hair. I’d been using an old ceramic 1 inch same brand and realized it was time for upgrade. The new tech made all the difference in managing and styling and it was quicker with a 1.5, actually controlled my curl easier. The light weight and ultra thin sleekness was so easy to use. Very much worth the price , I’m happy.

I was referred to this flat iron by my sister who has very thick, long, wavy, hair and I have long, thin, curly hair. She goes to the salon on a regular basis (she can afford it) and is usually up on the new hair products and appliances. But she called me and kept going on and on about this new BaByliss flat iron. I must admit her hair looks very straight, thick, shiny and fabulous like the models on TV. Prior to this she and I would use the blow dryers that have brush attachments. I can usually blow dry my hair straight in about 10 minutes but you can be sure it will frizz during the day if there is lots of humidity (even with silicon hair gels). I decided to purchase the Babyliss, a little pricey but it was really worth it! It heats up really fast and the metal plates really slide gently over my hair. Even if I blow dry my hair and press it out, its only 15 minutes. My hair is so shiny and very straight. Brushing out the straight hair brings oils down the shaft easier so my hair does look much healthier. Since my hair is so thin and oily I only flat iron it once every three days and it lasts quite a few days before I need to wash and press it. I also noticed after washing my hair it does not have a tendency to curl up wet it stays much straighter. All in all I REALLY love this flat iron.

It was super expensive but I might be even more happy with it! Cuts my drying time and effort down so much! Is fairly quiet and light weight. I just don’t like the set up on the buttons (easy to change from hot to warm etc, but I’ve learned that and now avoid it 😉

So I went back and forth and back and forth about buying this flat iron because it was so expensive plus some reviews said it could be fake. I am so GLAD I invested in this! I am mixed with black and el salvadorian and have very very curly hair.. I'll say 3c/4a curls. Anywho, I had an Ultra Chi flat iron for the past 3 years that would do ok but I would have to go over each section 2-3 times then wrap my hair for a few hours then take it down and go over my whole head AGAIN just to get the frizziness to go away and my hair to be as straight as possible. With this Babyliss Ultra thin 1 1/2 inch flat iron, I literally only go over my hair sections ONCE! So it cuts the time in half. I am going to include pics of my hair before it's straightened and after it was done with the Babyliss nano titanium. This review is 100% legit, I didn't get a discount on it and because I took the reviews serious, I decided to go head and review this to possibly help someone else !! Just bite the bullet and buy it!!

De todas las planchas que he tenido esta ha sido la. Mejor, es la segunda que compro (la otra la pisé y la rompí de un lado) y pedí otra babyliss pero la devolví porque definitivamente este modelo es el. Mejor. No hace freeze, plancha a la primera. La amo!

This is a good flat iron to straighten your hair! It gets hot really quickly and leaves my thick, coarse hair very sleek and soft. The highest temp can get really hot, but theare are many settings with different temperatures. Either way you need to use a good heat protector every time you use it if you dont want to damage your hair real quick. The lenght and the tickness of the plates are good to cover big strands of hair but sometimes being so thick makes it hard to straighten the hair that's very close to your forehead or ears. In that case, I just use my old flat iron that's way thinner even though it's not as good. So if you ask me, yes I recommend it! Just get it when it's on sale because it can be very pricey!

So far so good! My girlfriend has very curly afro hair and was looking for something to replace her CHI straightener. She said this thing is a amazing and she has been getting compliments from people at work said her hair looks amazing! It gets very hot but she likes that as it works good with her hair. It did melt her comb so we have to get her a comb that can withstand the heat but we are very happy with this purchase.
