It has a lovely traditional appearance and would work beautifully as a dressing gown, lounge robe, cosplay item, or for themed events.Unfortunately, the sizing and I had a rather dramatic disagreement.Fit & SizingI accidentally ordered a size down after following the size chart, which suggested the Medium fitted a 36.2” bust.Now, I fully expected my 39” bust to be an issue.What I didn’t expect was the rest of the robe to be so small.Even if I had a much smaller bust, it still wouldn’t fit comfortably.The biggest surprise was the back. The fabric across my upper back was extremely tight, despite my back measuring only around 30”.The waist was even more puzzling.My waist currently measures 28”, yet the attached Velcro sash wouldn’t even meet to fasten. Not “a bit snug”… I mean genuinely nowhere near touching.At that point, I started wondering whether the sizing chart had been translated from hamster measurements.Construction & QualityIt’s a shame because the quality itself is excellent.The fabric feels nice, the seams are neatly finished, and it hangs beautifully where it can actually hang.Everything about the garment suggests care has gone into the manufacturing.This isn’t a cheap, fancy-dress throwaway piece.Styling & WearabilityHad the sizing been correct, I think this would make a fantastic dressing gown.The traditional styling is attractive without looking costume-like, and it feels special enough to wear around the house when you want something a bit prettier than the average fluffy robe.💷 ValueAt £35.99, the quality is certainly there. The issue is purely the sizing. If you order the correct size, I think the price is justified by the construction and finish.Overall & VerdictA beautifully made yukata robe that is sadly let down by very small sizing.My advice would be to order at least one size larger than the chart recommends, and if you prefer a relaxed fit or have a fuller bust, possibly two sizes larger.The robe itself deserves praise. I ordered the x-large initially but it was too long and belt too loose. The large fit well. Wore it for a Halloween costume and receive compliments above how authentic it looked. Some people thought the costume was from the Apothecary Diaries but the colors are different. The quality was nice and it was thick enough to keep me warm on a cold windy night.
