I run Moldai Studios 3D, so I use the QooCam Ego for proper stereo photography. It’s slotted into my workflow really well and the stereo quality has been excellent.

Video quality is pretty good and the 3d effect is more pronounced than that produced on a mobile dues to the proximity of the lenses . Battery life is I guess ok at best but I don't shoot 3d for any longer than 5 mins at a time . Audio. Is usable in most cases . It would have been nice to have Bluetooth to link a mic but if you really wanted to you could record audio separately and sync in post . I bought the camera without the viewer as I have a quest headset . My PC refused to let my quest headset connect so I could load the videos I created . However that meant I had to develop a workaround and dare I say it better solution so here it goes . More people have quest headsets than Kandao viewers so I'd you want to share your vids so the following . Create a folder in Google drive or equivalent web accessible storage . Send the link to the file to your friends . And hey presto you are sharing 3d content . Alternatively you could go the YouTube route for public vids . So in summary . I like this camera . I would have liked different recording options as oppoesed to just 30 / 60 fps , and Bluetooth. But if you're looking for spatial 3d video that looks good and doesn't cost the earth . This is well worth a look .

I saw some reviews and decided to just take the punt since it was on prime and if it wasn't great I could return it. I took some pics and videos and was amazed at the quality. It has a viewer so you can see the 3D effect straight away but the best way to enjoy your creations are on a 3D screen, I use my xreal air pro 2 glasses and the quality is amazing even though it only outputs in 1080p on them. The other thing you can do is turn them into anaglyph using an app on your phone. I know that reviews are only as good as the word of someone so I have put an SBS picture and the anaglyph version so you can even see the depth and clarity even through red/blue glasses. The camera really is amazing and gives great images. The battery life is the only let down and I only purchased the camera but I would suggest you buy the kit with the extra battery or purchase a second one separately as it does not last that long and you really want to view them straight away so you can make sure you captured a decent image or video as the auto focus can sometimes be a little off and you need to touch the screen for where you want to set the focal point.

Got this after seeing a review on YouTube. Wanted to take some 'stereo' images to use on my VR headset but from the start had issues with the camera. Poor instructions didn't help either (I had to refer back to YouTube in order to open the battery compartment for example). Once I managed to get it working I found the photos all out of focus (if it has auto focus I couldn't find it) but the videos were fine. As it's so fiddly to use though I will probably sell it.

You don't buy this if you want a state of the art bridge camera with all the bells and whistles, you buy this to take very good 3D photos and video. And for that task the camera is good. There is no zoom, no autofocus, no lens cover (that's one thing I would like for it, a lens cover) and no real manual settings. Zoom isn't really needed on a 3D camera, and while autofocus would be nice you do get a selection of focus options that change the focus from close to far away. Despite some reviews on here, and from photography blogs, saying that no autofocus results in mainly blurry useless pictures I haven't found this to be the case. Yes you will definitely take some pictures where you get the focus setting wrong and it results in a blurry image but you learn pretty quickly how to judge which focus to use and the guide on the LCD viewfinder is very useful with this as it tells you (in centimeters and feet for those in the UK) how far away the selected focus is. Just take a few photographs at different focus lengths when you first use the camera and you'll quickly get used to which focus option is right for the shot you want to take. You don't need to go into a menu to change the focus either, it's literally a button press so it's very easy to do and easy to get used to. Is this as convenient as most digital cameras are, is it point and shoot? No, but it isn't meant to be. If you want a quality 3D camera that will produce good results this is literally the best camera out there unless you have enough money for top of the line 3D movie cameras that is. It takes twenty seconds to start up from being switched off, and the user interface is a tiny bit slower than most modern cameras, it's mildly irritating until you get used to it but it's not a big issue and the camera will do exactly what you buy it for....take good 3D photographs and videos. It's small and portable and the snap on 3D viewer really does give you a good idea what your 3D media will look like. Battery life is not great so maybe buy the option that comes with a second battery and external charger, if you don't see such an option listed on Amazon just go to the camera makers Amazon page and you'll find it as a separate listing. It should last about about an hour, my first time using it I took 92 photos and a video over the course of about an hour and a half and had around 34% battery left but was turning it off between each set of shots to conserve battery power. Is it perfect? No. Is it a very good 3D camera? Yes. Is it expensive? Not really when you consider that there's really nothing else like this at the moment, and it isn't much more expensive than many non 3D cameras. Overall a decent camera. A very good 3D camera and worth the money if you can look past it's lack of features and just want good 3D.

After reading many reviews my expectations were that it would be awkwardly "good enough". But it's really an amazing little camera. The photos have a Viewmaster quality. Very warm with an analog feel. The buttons are indeed a little hard to press, but it's not at all terrible. The viewer lenses are a bit close, as if it were built for a child's face, but again it's not as bad as I had expected. After a few days with it the reports of poor battery performance were correct. The battery is abysmal. Don't bother buying a second. Keep it plugged in to a charger when not in use.

Brilliant 3D camera for both stills and video and at such a relatively low price. I recommend using a gimbal when shooting video. Makes a world of difference. Even more amazing viewing thru VR Headset.

Produces good results on a 3d screen. Slight delay on power up. Produces about 66 pictures on average per charge. So get a spare battery. Neat little camera, if you are into 3d, this does the job, plenty of Bacup.

Bin seit über 40 Jahren 3D-Fan (siehe auch "Extrabreit - Welch ein Land..." von 1981). In den 1970ern hatte ich bereits einen 3D View Master mit diesen 3D-Reels. Mit 3D-Kameras habe ich auch schon lange zu tun. Meine Erste war die LOREO 3D ca. 1991 natürlich nur "Standbilder" 😃. Mit meinem IXUS-Stereo-Gespann konnte ich dann auch mit größeren Stereobasis-Breiten arbeiten, indem ich gegen verschiedene, selbstgebaute Stereo-Schienen unterschiedlicher Längen tauschen konnte. Aber dann zuerst die Bilder mit stereophotomaker und Filme mit stereomoviemaker bearbeiten ist etwas zeitraubend. Bei der FUJI Real 3D und jetzt bei der KanDao 3D kommt alles schon fertig "heraus" 😊 Die Ergebnisse liegen als Parallel-Stereo Bild oder Video auf dem Micro-SD-Kärtchen vor 👍 Bedienung per Touchscreen OK aber wenn man die Bilder durch den Betrachter weiter skippen will, wirds fummelig. Für wackelfreie Fotos wählt man am Besten eine kleine Verzögerung aus mit der Timer-Funktion. Gefreut habe ich mich über das Metall-Stativgewinde 👍 meine Loreo hatte z.B. gar keins. Insgesamt liegt die kleine Kamera (mit Akku) richtig schwer und wertig in der Hand. Ich mag die kleine Kamera und seinen Betrachter 😍 und geb Beide nicht mehr her! Aber der Batterieverbrauch ist stramm 😧 Ersatz-Akkus und Ladegerät sind da Pflicht-Zubehör! Beides hab ich natürlich gleich angeschafft. Zur Bildquälität: Nach dem Lesen der anderen Rezensionen hier, hatte ich schlimmeres erwartet. Motive mit höheren Kontrasten waren schon immer ein Problem bei Digitalkameras. Das kleine Schätzchen meistert das für diese Preisklasse ganz gut. Zum Genießen der Ergebnisse hab ich mir vor Kurzem eine Meta Quest 2 gegönnt 😇 Dazu habe ich auf der Quest den PIGASUS Player/Betrachter installiert. Leider greift die aktuelle Version nicht auf den USB-Stick zu. Dazu muss ich dann momentan den Skybox VR Player nehmen. Nachtrag: was leider oft vorkommt ist, daß die Marken-Speicherkarte nicht gefunden wird (keine Billig-Karte!). Also: Deckel aufmachen, Kärtchen kurz raus und wieder rein, dann geht's 😕

Sehr gut: QooCamStudio = Zusatz App für iPhone, Windows, MacBook. Erforderlich für Videostabilisierung QooCamStudio = Möglichkeit zur Parralax Verschiebung wenn das 3D zu dicht oder zu weit weg ist. Sehr gut umgesetzt und dadurch sogar perfekt auf einem klassischen 2D Notebook/Bildschirm zu bearbeiten. QooCamSptialConverter = Programm die aus den 3D Side by Side Videos klassische 2D FullHD Videos macht. Für Mac etwas umständlich aber geht. Readme.txt in den Download Dateien lesen. Sehr gut: Touch Display / Wlan Sehr gut: Videoformat ist Side by Side. Kann man sich direkt auf das Handy kopieren und mit einem VR 3D Handy Adapter (so 40Eur) anschauen wo man sein Handy Display vorne rein schiebt. Ist vergleichbar mit dem Original 3D Kamera Aufsatz den es für diese Kamera gibt. Bei dem Kamera Aufsatz für die Kandao EGO 3D ist nur das Bild etwas pixeliger und das Sichtfeld etwas kleiner. Dafür sofort sehr einfach einsatzbereit ohne jegliche Bearbeitung. Gut: Klein, handlich, leicht 3D Aufsatz (Zubehör). Ist zu empfehlen wenn man noch vor Ort schnell mal das aufgenommene in 3D sehen möchte. Linsen schnell zu reinigen. Hab es nicht bereut die 100Eur inkl extra Akku und Duo Ladegerät auszugeben. Sehr gute 3D Effekte von 1m bis 10m 2x Full HD Auflösung Externens duo Ladegerät. Sehr praktisch und zu empfehlen. Das externe Ladegerät war im Lieferumfang dabei wenn man den Kameraaufsatz ebenso dazu genommen hat. So konnte man den Akku tauschen und die Kamera direkt weiter benutzen. Mittel: Display ist recht klein. Ich hab dadurch die ersten Urlaubsvideos nur unscharf gehabt da ich auf dem Display nicht gesehen hatte das ich im Macro Modus war und so nichts scharf gestellt wurde. Es reicht zum Fokussieren ein einfacher Tap auf das Touchscreen. Aber man muss es halt machen wenn der Fokus raus ist. Erst später am Notebook hab ich das dann erkannt. Wenn man drauf achtet kann man es aber auch auf dem kleinen Display direkt erkennen. Aber geht schnell mal unter wenn es nicht scharf fokussiert ist. Schlecht: Farbton. Videos haben oft einen leichten Sephia Stich. Leicht Gelb/Bräunlich. Im Dunklen ist Schluss. Es braucht schon mindestens eine gut Beleuchtete Strandpromenade. Eine Terrasse mit einer LED Tischlampe reicht nicht mehr aus um für die Kamera genug Licht zu erzeugen. Da muss dann z.B. die richtige helle Terrassenbeleuchtung an wenn man Abends da was Filmen will. Unfassbar schlecht: Akkulaufzeit. Für 1Tag im Urlaub mit 10h Bootstour sollte man schon so 3 Akkus bei haben wenn man weiss was man filmt, wann man filmt, und vor allem wie LANGE man jeweilsfFilmt. 2 Akkus sind knapp aber auch machbar mit Videoerfahrung. Ist man noch sehr unbeholfen und filmt wie ein Laie wiederhoilt 10min uncut Videos und alles was einem vor die Linse kommt dann braucht man deutlich mehr als 3 Akkus. Ich Filme generell immer nur so 10-20sek Schnipsel und davon aber viele. Dann komm ich mit 2-3 Akkus pro 10h Ausflug im Sommerurlaub aus wo man nicht nachladen kann. Unfassbar Schlecht: Stabilisierungfilter nicht vorhanden. Das sind mit GANZ GROSSEN ABSTAND die verwackeltsten Video seit ich mich daran erinnern kann Videos zu machen. Hab mit dem iPhone 4s in 2010 etwa angefangen Videos zu drehen und zu schneiden. Da ist die Kamera UNFASSBAR schlecht. Abhilfe schafft nur der Stabilisierungsfilter in der QooCamStudio App die ich für iPhone und MacBook getestet hab. Und es rettet die Kamera und die Videos von 1 auf 4 Sterne Bewertung. Externe Programme sind dafür ungeeignet da das linke und rechte Bild synchron stabilisiert werden müssen. Man kommt um die QooCamStudio App nicht drum rum. Ist aber sehr einfach wie gut umgesetzt. Ohne das Programm hätte die Kamera nur 1 Stern bekommen. Mit dem Programm kann man sie auf 4 Sterne korrigieren. Auch Unfassbar Schlecht: Einschaltdauer. Ihr wollt spontan was aufnehmen? Denkt nicht mal dran wenn die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist. Windows 95 hat angerufen und möchte seine Bootzeit zurück. Kamera pauschal an lassen? Dann kauft Euch direkt mehrere Zusatz Akkus. Bsp: Raodtrip. Ihr wollt eine Tunneleinfahrt mit dem Auto in einem Video festhalten. Ab dem Moment wo Ihr den Tunnel von ganz weit weg beim fahren schon seht ist es trotzdem zu spät. Die Kamera wird erst im Tunnel startklar sein wenn man sie erst vorher eingeschaltet hat. Ihr hört eine Sirene und wollt ein Feuerwehr Auto Filmen was gleich irgendwo hinter einer Hausecke auftaucht? Es wird auftauchen und wieder verschwinden bis die Kamera überhaupt startklar ist. 3D Einsatzbereiche Sehr gut: Alles was 1m bis 10m entfernt ist. Menschen, Garten, Terrasse, Wohnung, Boot (auf dem Boot selbst. Richtung Wasser verschwindet der 3D Effekt wegen dem dafür zu schmalen Linsenabstand), Auto, Grosse Tiere. 3D zu doll: Alles unter 1m. Dazu stehen die Linsen zu weit auseinander. Gedeckte Tische, Modelleisenbahn, Insekten, Macro. Hier ist das iPhone 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max und ab iPhone 16 auch nicht Pro besser geeignet. Einfach mal "iPhone Spatal Videos" googeln. Die können das besser da dort die 2 Kameralinsen enger beieinander stehen um 3D (Spatal Videos / Räumlich) aufzunehmen. Perfekt für Aufnahmen zwischen etwa 30cm und 3m 3D ohne Effekt: Landschaften, Horizont. Ist Euer Motiv weit weg dann ist kein 3D zu erkennen. Dazu stehen die Linsen dann zu Dicht beisammen. Da hilf dann nur weitere Gegenstände in Geringen Abstand mit zu Filmen wenn man den Horizont filmt. Also von einem Boot Richtung Wasser oder Ufer ist eher wenig. Wer ein Video dieser Kamera sehen möchte muss auf You Tube folgendes Video suchen: "Kroatien 2025 / Baška / Punat / 3D - Videobeschreibung" oder Dieses Video ist die 2D Version von Kanado EGO 3D Kamera. In der Video Beschreibung sind dann aber 2 Links zu 2 verschiedenen 3D Versionen (Anaglyph und Side by Side). Ergänzung Rezension: Die Videos sind super mit einer Meta Quest anzuschauen die ich nun habe und Kompatibel mit den Werkseitigen Meta Apps als auch den Zubehör Apps und auch über die VR YouTube App aus dem Meta Store die auch 3D Videos richtig wiedergibt. Ohne Software für Videostabilisierung gäbe es nur 1 Stern für die Kamera. Mit der Software gibt es 4 Sterne da sie für den Preis alternativlos ist und ich mir direkt wieder kaufen würde. In einem Konkurrierenden Markt mit guter Konkurrenz würde die Kamera vielleicht nur 2-3 Sterne bekommen. Wer 3D in VR sehen will sollte sich eine VR 3D Kamera holen. Fängt da aber erst ab 700Eur an. Dann ist das Video keine Leinwand wie bei dieser 3D Kamera sondern Komplett Bilschirmfüllend in 3D im VR Headset einer Meta Quest oder Apple Vision Pro.
