I am happy with this product. I haven’t been hungry and am losing weight. I am hoping my cholesterol is down and am waiting for the blood results. It’s affordable and easy to take, with no side effects. I will be ordering again!

I researched berberine before going for this brand, as they're not all created equal in terms of quality and how they're absorbed. Berberine hydrochloride (HCL) is best for optimal absorption and I also wanted something with no fillers. This brand fulfils both requirements. Since taking this supplement twice a day since June, I've been considerably less hungry so I no longer overeat, so I've been able to lose weight, especially round my waist. At my age, that's not easy! I haven't had any side effects, fortunately.

I've been taking four of these per day for about a year or so. This is berberine hydrochloride extract; plants containing berberine (as opposed to the pure extract) have been in use in many cultures for thousands of years, known to be antibacterial and to help with blood glucose control. As a note of caution, I did recently hear Dr. Jason Hawrelak (a very smart gut specialist) say that he didn't recommend berberine for long-term use, iirc because it could ultimately upset gut flora balance. With that said, I'm not ready to stop taking it at this point. I take it to support my gut, which has all sorts of issues. I should note, though, that I have poor blood glucose control, and for me, berberine seems to do nothing for this. (Berberine is sometimes called "nature's Metformin," though, and I don't seem to respond to Metformin either, so your mileage may well vary; I think Dr. Andrew Huberman mentioned that berberine dropped his blood glucose too significantly...) For me, it seems to help with gut motility and pain management; I took a few days off recently and everything went haywire. I've tried a few cheaper berberines from here that did nothing at all. This one probably isn't as good as the much more expensive Thorne brand, but seems good enough to do the job, and is very good value for money. I'm not bothered by any sort of aftertaste from it, whether or not I take it with food (I used to always take with food but am now experimenting with it between meals), like I have been by some other brands.

I have heard really good reports about Berberine, but unfortunately it didn’t seem to work for me, so my doc insisted I take Metformin something I always said I wouldn’t take.

Within ,two days my fasting blood sugar dropped 20% with no change in diet. I'm type 2 diabetic so happy this is working so well alongside my usual Metformin.

Brought before and will purchase again, good quality and no bad taste, easy to swallow, I've had no side effects, recommend

Product label states this is from 50mg 10:1 extract, so it's not truly 500mg. No mention of this on the product page description. It's really bad value for money compared to similar products.
