Very informative and entertaining!!
I love to travel the two lanes in our beautiful country and this book is the premier guide to Americana. Loads of information about local sights and folklore, just the stuff I am interested in. Almost 1000 pages of routes and facts that will guide you on memorable travels . As a vid two lane traveler, mostly on motorcycles, I highly recommend this book. You will want to take this with you as you travel as it is your guide to "Blue Highways".

Perfect road trip book
This book is perfect. My daughter in law and I do a road trip every other year. Our first was last year on the Route 66. While this book has the 6 main trips that run north and south, it also has sections on the routes that run eat and west. Looking forward to our next trip in 2021 from Oregon to New York

A useful read!
Haven't gone on any road trips yet, but this book does an excellent job of inspiring me to take some. I really like that it addresses different ways to get somewhere or places off of the path.The images were clear and provided scenic imagery to the text. I love that some trip suggestions are divided into sections because it helps plan and schedule when time can be constraining.While this book will come in handy when traveling, I find that it is a great read just to learn about all these little places and towns. I've already googled some and added some of their events and activities to the road trip bucket list.

Planning a road trip?!
We gave this as a retirement gift to the in-laws as they were planning a cross country to celebrate their retirement, unfortunately it was postpone due to the corona virus, but it has given them more time to plan in detail with they help of this book! They love it and can’t wait to hear about the adventures they fine through this guide!

I really love this book, I wish they had and app that you could use to plot these routes out on your phone or GPS so they were easier to follow

Good Book But Missing Information
This would have gotten a higher rating except that there seems to be something missing between the bottom of page 271 and the top of page 272. As I’m working on putting together a trio for that area and am trying to read up on everything I can, this was a bit disappointing. I hope this is the only spot in the book that this happens.

Good overview
The book advertised and described had 11 trips. The book received has 6 and all trips north/south, missing the East/west coastUpdate: Table of contents is divided. I found the East/west in the back of the book. Interesting layout

Great book for those routes not coverd by others.
Great book covering some areas not covered by the run of the mill guides. An update of my previous edition and ideal for my road trip to the Mid-West states later this year.

Links doesn't work and reboot my kindle
Every time I try to go to Los Angeles in the index, the link doesn't work, reboot my kindle and I have to download the book again to read it.What do I have to do to get my money back??

If you want a turn by turn guidebook this is not for you. If you want information, inspiration and ideas this excellent book is for you. I've done 2 of the routes in the book and can't recommend it highly enough!
