The paper is heavier than expected and the finish prevents the mat from sliding around. The colors are vibrant eye catching. They absorb liquids when dripped on, as you would expect, and allow liquids to pass through very slowly, giving you time to wipe them up. Great product.

Nice place mats added a pop of color to the table very nice received lots of compliments. They are paper thin, decorative edge adds a bit of flair. They served my purpose, and of course they are disposable.

These are perfect for decorating tables for a crowd, as I do every week. Simple design and nice color will go with many themes. I will order these again!

The placemats alone are fine and good quality for what I would expect from a disposable placemat….just like at a restaurant. They look nice. I read the reviews and notice someone else said the placemats were more orange in color instead of a true red. I ordered anyway. They were definitely more orange especially when I added my red napkins (which I ended up not using my own red napkins). Bottom line: Fine when using alone but do not add other red accent colors.

If your goal is to have an inexpensive place setting that shows you have given thought to, this works. The paper itself is very thin, so be aware of that the feel lacks weight, however, I found that no one at my dinner party took notice. It made for a beautiful valentine's day dinner party.
