Very Sturdy
some other reviews stated the mermaid was not secure enough for anything heavy it's definitely sturdy enough i had to make a small modification had to grind the area directly behind where the screw head would go without doing this the mermaid would not be flush against the wall and could slip off the the screw head trust me the heart is made of wood then covered with shells pretty darn heavy it's not going anywhere hope this helps

Added to our beach inspired bathroom
Perfect little detail to hold towels while showering, in actually added some detail to it myself. May go back and paint it white and rough it up a bit, but we like the added little fun from it. It does not have bottom stabilization however so has scratched the wall up a little.. will probably put a felt pad on the back of it to stop this

Heavy, well made piece. Factory hanger needs addressing.
Nice décor piece. I would have no faith in the factory hanger on the back. Removing a towel or coat hanging on this would result in it hitting the floor eventually. With porcelain tiles, I don't want to test chip resistance with this SOLID piece of casting. I JB Welded a wall anchor bolt to the back and removed the factory picture hanger. Easy fix, and it WILL NOT fall off. The one I received looks more of a dark green than blue. Still happy though, and would buy again.

Looks awesome, heavy, sturdy, nice hook on back, antiqued look
It’s very sturdy and heavy like cast iron is. It looks antiqued like I’d hoped. The color and size and hook are all very nice. I’m very happy with it, great price!

Very charming and beautifully detailed.
Looks like an authentic period piece. Can be an elegant or whimsical decoration. I have it in my small bathroom as a compliment to a set of cast iron sea dwellers. We get many compliments on this piece in particular. Just the right size.

This is small but sturdy
I had a small space to hang a bath towel and this was perfect

Pretty, but not functional.
Pretty, but not functional. The hook to secure it to the wall is a completely failed design. It doesn’t mount flush, and will fall off the wall easily when taking a towel off or on. The tail fin is also a bit sharp, so I’m worried about tearing the towel or scratching myself. If you want a random wall decor object, it’s pretty. We are going to try and file the fin down smooth and JB weld a screw into the back then twist it into a wall anchor. Otherwise I might glue it to a picture frame or something.
