Mosquito Repellent Bracelet Refillable Wooden Large

Due to suffering with mosquito bites when travelling abroad I purchased this item for trips to both Bali and Thailand. Wore the item both day and night and only had 2 bites the whole of both trips. Looks great too as a bracelet. Definitely works for me.

The wooden barrel was split in two places and it was not eligible for return. However, Amazon Customer Service arranged for a refund. I have used Incognito before and find their products effective, so I guess it's unfortunate that this was damaged.

So I’ve tested loads of types of mosquito-repellent bracelets (snap on, stretchy, coily, leather, twisted!) and this one is not only the most aesthetically-pleasing but also the most effective. The wooden design is cute (though rather chunky) and the capsule doesn’t come in contact with skin so there is no irritation. It’s stretchy and easy enough to put on. I feel it is over-priced for what it is but I’m still happy with the product overall. However (and this is a BIG however), it does not protect all of you from mosquitoes. I can vouch for its efficacy on the arm it was worn. The other arm and legs and elsewhere were indeed bitten frequently. So unless you wear a bracelet on each of your wrists and ankles (and neck!), your protection will be very limited. That said, it did a better job than the other bracelets I wore where I was still bitten right next to the bracelets…. I was up against Italian mosquitoes on my last trip so perhaps efficacy will differ depending on location and variety of mosquito. I will still keep this bracelet as I feel “every-little-helps” but I’ll be stocking up on DEET sprays as it seems to be the only sure-fire way to keep the pests at bay sadly.

Used this in Peru - I was bitten all over from my feet to my face on the 1st night... had to move to extra strong Deet. Wouldn't Recommend.

Whilst I also had preventative lotions for mosquitos so it's hard to critique this band's protective properties, it looked nice but ultimately came apart after 1 weeks use and all the beads flew apart across the floor.

Haven't used it yet, go to Italy soon
