I love this thing!
The online video reviews are correct; you get a LOT for your money with this modeler/processor/pedal. I mean, you'll obviously get more with most processor units that would cost you several hundred dollars, but this thing punches above its weight. The presets sound good and give you a wide range of styles and sounds. Yet it's also easy to edit them. I have other units that have deep LCD menus (and/or phone apps) that you have to navigate to tweak or edit your sound. This one is is all knobs, and it makes this thing a breeze. (You can also edit and configure through a phone app.) Construction is super-solid. TANK-G is well named. Size-wise it's convenient to throw it in your gig bag or backpack and take it with you. As a matter of fact, between the solid effects, amp and IR cabs, its heavy duty aluminum construction, its small size, and its intuitive stomp button navigation, there is only one aspect that I believe may keep you from gigging it. When you switch between presets, there is a slight drop of signal, just for a brief, brief moment. It's probably not enough to affect the performance, especially in a band situation where the rest of the music may cover it. It's not really that big of a deal; you just need to know about it. Also, there is an app that allows firmware updates, so they may even fix this with a future update. Speaking of the app. You can use it to import presets and IR Cab files. Even without the app, you can connect your phone/tablet/computer via bluetooth and play backing tracks through it as you play. Buy it. I believe it's the best bang for your buck in this arena.

Sounds Great!
This thing works as good as any high end pedal, and for a fraction of the price. I bought this not expecting much, however after I tested this thing out, I was very surprised. It sounds great. Tuner mode is extremely accurate. Has remote to your phone. Models various amps. Built-in effects processing. Bluetooth. This thing recharges and holds a charge for enough to do almost 12 hours of playing. Charge up with a phone cable. Love this thing. Don't hesitate if you're looking at this. Just buy it. A bunch of my friends also bought these. Great fly rig. I would not hesitate to use this live. XLR, and quarter inch out.

Great Multi Fx / Feels Solidly Built
For the price, I think this is an excellent multieffects pedal. Presets are OK to great. I usually just use it on LIVE mode, essentially like a pedal board. Buttons, knobs and housing feel sturdy enough. Internal rechargeable battery is great and super convenient. Really perfect for garage/small gigs. Only 2 gripes - 1. Microsecond delay when engaging the pedal, really not good for live scenarios but completely workable 2. Lack of boost function, so you may need to rely on your guitar's volume control. Again completely workable. Reverb and digital delay has a nice range. Modulation effects are NOT great; you can still probably dial a decent chorus or flange, but definitely on the lame side. Overall though, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy again if this ever craps out on me down the road.

Good for bedroom playing with headphones
It has some good effects, but will never take the place of individual pedals. Pros *Headphone jack *Rechargeable *Long battery life *Compact *Light but sturdy case *Quite a few effects *Customizable *Built in tunner *Has app to customize further Cons *massive noise trying to use it with other pedals

Great deal for a good preamp with effects!
Some people have complained that it don't sound good..... My response to that claim is they don't know how to set it up and tweek it. Listen up: I have ran this thing thru the power anp section of my hundred watt two amp with a four twelve cabinet Sounds great very giggable. I have plugged it in to my hometheatre system. With a little bit of tweeking OMG it sounds good...really. I have used it through my twelve hundred watt fifteen/ horn power speakers. Once again you have to tweak it and turn the horn down some..... That's to be expected. I have even hooked it up to some small powered Stereo speakers and my friends TV soundbar With great results. I got it going right out of the box before. Even read the manual Wasn't hard at all to figure out. Note: The effect settings are very sensitive. So you have to take a little time to get him just like you want.- once again TWEAK it There are a couple of downsides: When running the music via Bluetooth Into the unit it lacks definition and base response. Music sounds great using a cable....? It has no effects loop..... It is not a stereo unit. If this thing was stereo and had an effects loop It would be amazing. As is a great unit especially for $80. I like it! UPDATE! Now that i've spent several months with it, I really have to say I love it!!! Have been running it into a 100 watt head with a 412 cabinet. I have not found (ANY) (amp) sound That I could not emulate damn near to the t. What really blows my mind I don't have to play loud To get any and all of the harmonic feedback I can ask for I don't care what note you play..... Incredible for a unit less than $100. I am not absolutely crazy about the reverb and chorus effects. I mean they are good but not exactly when I was looking for, So I tried coming out of the tank g and going in to my favorite effect Peddles and bam! Came out of the old school MXR chorus stereo into 2 100w heads into my 412 cabinet in stereo and OMG. After all this experimentation I purchased a very cheap (Pyle) lol 18 watt stereo amp and run into a 212 cab and damn. Great! My friends say WTF? How the hell are you getting that kind of a sound out of that little thing? I just smile and keep on playing... Highly recommend!!!

Don't expect to get the sounds that this product says it produces.
I love how easy it is to work with. However the sounds that it say it produces kind of sounds right but lacks clearly. Mesa boogie or Marshall is a far cry from what it produces. This thing is perfect for practice just to get some effects. The effects are very bland but noticeable and do work with very little ability to change them. Overall for the money it's not a bad buy but don't expect you get big sound.

Super easy to use and really versatile
The Playwell TANK-G pedal comes with tons of effects, making it perfect for all kinds of music. Itโs really easy to operate, and the app makes tweaking sounds a breeze. I mainly use it for metal and it sounds perfect โ heavy and clear. Plus, it comes with switch protectors, which is awesome to avoid accidental presses. Overall, a solid, versatile pedal thatโs a great value!

***READ THIS*** before using with a regular guitar amp!!!
Wow. This is amazing for the price!!! Seriously amazing. Note to buyers. Many of the effects use built in amp cabs and heads designed to mimic some pretty well known classic amps. 'See the booklet for a list of these abd what order they are on the relevant dials' You might find using the pedal straight into headphones sounds amazing but then struggle to get the same tones from plugging into youre amp. The reason this is is because you're amp is designed in what ever way the company who designed it to sound its best when a guitar is directly plugged into it. With this pedal in between you're guitar and amp the amp models then fight against the amp itself and can really affect how it sounds. Classic stomp boxes are best for amps. With multi effects pedals like this when amp types are built it is far better for plug into a pa type generic or frfr speaker. You'll find the pedal sounds a whole lot better just like when used with you're headphones. Well thats my experience anyway with pedals like this. Alternatively when using with a normal amp turn OFF the IR CAB dial to get the inteded sound from the pedal through a guitar amp. 100% defo worth the money. Also using this straight into youre computer is going to create some killer recordings. Oh and the app makes dialing in or editing tones much easier.

Wish I had one sooner really
No regrets. The tank-g is an awesome little fly rig at a ridiculous price. Upload some amps and cabs and a bit of tweaking and you got a great sounding setup. Looks pretty cool too...

Great amp/cab modelling, app not great
I dialled in some great metal sounds using the built in amps/cabs. The knobby interface is good for tweaking, but I used the iPad app to build patches from scratch. You need to keep hold of the paper manual to know what the numbered amps/cabs are. There are 9 banks of 4 patches each. I built my patches like this: bank 1 : four carefully dialled-in metal tones using amps 6, 7, 8, 9 (all with cab 4) bank 2 : copied bank 1 but using cab 8 The result is a varied palette of 8 very good metal tones that cover lots of situations. I also put an OD pedal in front and it sounds amazing. The delay and reverb seem good, though I'm no expert. The reverb can go very wet (sounds like 95% or more) if you want to do some ambient stuff (for which amp 3 and cab 4 are a decent starting point). I recommend this device if you want the knob-per-function for eq and effect tweaking on the fly. I found the physical interface not great for building patches from scratch because there are only dots rather than numbers for identifying amps and cabs. The iPad app works ok for editing patches but I found the IR/effect downloading too fiddly/flaky.

Practical and amazing for its price!
Is there anything better within this price tag range? I don't think so! Also, how cool is the ability to use the internal battery!!! Sometimes I miss the expression pedal, some FX and distortion options, as I have with my old Line 6 Firehawk FX. It's simple to operate, and the app works fine too.

Brilliant budget effects
Bought as a backup for a much more expensive unit and more than does the job. Also better and cheaper than buying individual pedals for beginners.
