I’ve been feeding the birds in my backyard for a long time, and these Old Potters Black Oil Sunflower Seeds are top-notch. Right from the first bag, my feeders were nonstop busy — cardinals, chickadees, finches, nuthatches, even a few woodpeckers and doves all showed up like it was happy hour. What I really like is that they’re Non-GMO and grown right here in the USA on small farms. No weird chemicals, just clean, high-quality seeds packed with oil and protein that the birds clearly love. They seem extra plump and fresh, and even the squirrels are happy (though I try to keep them on their own side of the yard, ha). No excessive dust or junk in the bag either — just good, natural seed that keeps the wildlife coming back every day. Loving these, the birds are absolutely crazy for them, which is lovely. We get Blue Jays, Cardinals, different kinds of woodpeckers, titmice, grackles, sparrows, etc., etc. And they’re in such hard demand. I love to buy them in this size so I can keep refilling my bird feeder.

best part of the order is that i ordered 50 lbs. good price. when the order arrived---quicker than expected---it was in 2/25lb sacks. this is actually quite a good thing and much easier for this old body to move around. the worst thing is that i couldn't tell top from bottom or how to open. i try and reuse all feed sacks. i finally chose an end and was able to cut open a small space. then transferred to another sack for ease in scooping. it was more frustrating, i guess, because i had to remove my gloves to use my knife and the temps were below freezing. but the birds seemed to like the seed!

I was so happy when my Sunflower seeds arrived. For one thing they are very clean. No little extras in the bag only beautiful black Sunflower seeds. The other reason I was happy is because I wondered how I was going to get those fifty pounds of beautiful seeds to the garbage can that I store them in. I am 76 and the thought of lugging a big bag of seeds half way around my house didn’t make me feel warm a fuzzy. I had decided to get a pail and just scoop and carry until I moved all the seeds to their permanent location. However I did not have to resort to the old bucket as this wonderful company divided their seeds into two 25 pound bags and that I could handle. Keep up the good work!
