I recently purchased this for my 4-year-old, and it's been a fantastic addition to our learning activities. The set is well-constructed, with durable components that can withstand enthusiastic play. My son loves the number blocks and the episode with blockzee so he plays with this none stop I thought that jars should be permanently attached to his hands if they were really going to be used for the actual blocks. I am thinking of gluing them down.

This is a great visual for young learners as they begin to understand the meaning of the equal symbol. I only use it for teacher demonstration though. The students broke the first one I bought the very first time I let them use it.

Educational

I wanted a visual way to compare numbers with my kindergarten students that they could manipulate themselves. We sometimes watch the Numberblocks show at the end of the day so I figured this would be a cute way to try and connect. They LOVE this activity. I originally had planned to mostly use it for small group instruction, but they find it so interesting that I am constantly using it (definitely getting my money's worth). The scale and blocks seem high quality and are durable enough to last with my whole class of 5 and 6 year old constantly grabbing at it. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because of setup and storage. You have to stick all of the characters faces on and the scale cannot be stored put together in the box. They fit well together during assembly, but you have to remove the trays after each use and there isn't an organized way to store the blocks. Overall, this is a really cute and effective teaching tool!

My 3 yo loves number blocks so we got this for him for Christmas. He plays with it everyday. Such a good investment for my number loving child.

My students are OBSESSED with Blockzee and choosing it over all the other toys at playtime. I really love how it makes the greater and less than signs, it’s such a neat tool for teaching comparisons. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t come with many number blocks so I supplemented with a set I bought separately- also Hand2Mind brand. The other ones have faces on plastic squares that clip to the blocks and those squares are heavy enough compared to the weight of the cube that they mess up the balance and skew the results. So if you want it to be accurate you can really only use the blocks that come with this specific set. Still, totally worth it

This is a great addition to our Numberblocks collection and makes basic arithmetic more fun and visual. The balance scale helps kids understand weight and comparison in a hands-on way, and we often use other small items to compare sizes and weights just for fun. One thing to note is that the included cups are important. They are specifically made for the scale, and without them it becomes difficult to stack the blocks on the arms properly. As long as you keep track of the cups, it is an engaging and educational set.
