Keeps the rabbits out of the garden
I used this with a solar powered zapper to keep rabbits out of our 30x60' garden. I installed a vinyl picked fence with 4x4 posts and ran these a 2" off the ground and then again at 6". It works great, good quality, easy to install and the wife likes the looks.

It works!
First time installing this. I am 62 years old. The insulators went in easily w the drill. The poly wire is decent to work with and slipped into all of the insulators. I used double slip knots to combine ends of wires. Using this to deter a dog who digs. Hopefully heโll get the message quickly. I bought a solar battery on here as well. Not related to this purchase, but the hardest part was installing an 8 foot ground rod. Other than that, it was straightforward.

Nice kit
Overall this is a nice kit to get a fence up and running. Nylon braid has the advantage of being easily tied off or tied on if you need to extend a broken piece. Pretty easy to work with overall. Only had a single wire stand break in this kit, and it was my fault for over torquing the driver bit. Getting the screws to bite was tricky on some posts, but otherwise no complaints. A quick hook up to the voltage supply and we're good to go!

Does the trick!
Huh- neighbors dogs stopped crawling under our fence magically once I put this up with the power source.

Best thing since sliced bread?
This poly line is great. If it breaks just tie a new piece on, carefully melt the spliced area, and wrap the wires tightly on the line. Couldn't be easier. The tool for screwing in the insulators is genius and actually makes the job enjoyable. Thankfully I have all wooden posts around my chicken pen so this job went fast. I used 1/2 inch pvc to keep the hot wire off the fence where it wanted to bow out, and you can use 1/4 inch water line like you use for an ice maker if you need to pass it through a fence or have it close to a metal T post, etc.

Additional items need to be purchased.
Super easy to set up. The wire holders come with a driver that fits your drill. The rope is woven nice and tight around the wire. Does it work? Oh yes, it works. Within an hour (2 attempts to crossover the wire) and the escape issue was resolved. I definitely recommend. Keep in mind you will have to purchase the control box separately.

Stainless steel wires versus aluminum!
Having been around electric fencing my entire life, I have used a variety or materials and insulators. One concern I have on the roll of wire is the strands are stainless steel versus aluminum. Stainless steel is a poor conductor of electricity compared to aluminum. The poly part of the wire is a thicker braid than the previous brands I have used (which lasts for years). The thicker strand should make it easier for the deer to see and avoid. Although we associate the yellow with high visibility, white is actually more visible to livestock and wildlife (unless snow is on the ground). My horses are well trained to electric fences, so I am unable to determine if the stainless steel strains are less effective in keeping them in. Once the grass matures, I am going to make several small pastures for the goats in our large yard, that will be a test if the wire carries as much juice as the current aluminum strand wire I use. For now, the roll of wire will be a backup to the current electric fencing I am using or if I decide to split pastures into smaller units, I will use it as the interior lines and tie some white strips of cloth to it to increase the visibility to my animals and the deer. The insulators work great. I have used a similar product but the area where the wire slips in was not made to resist the wire leaving; these insulators have a crossed entry which makes getting the wire in easy but acts as a barrier to prevent the wire from coming out. The tool to install them works great, I do predrill a hole first. There are more insulators than needed for the length of wire, but that is okay. I have used these to replace the tubing and staples on our high tensile fence when replacing a post or a staple has gone missing. Overall, this is a decent value, considering all the insulators you receive along with the wire.

my dogs hate this wire
But I don't want them pooping on neighbors lawns or getting run over by a car. The actual metal wire is VERY flimsy, so i was very careful handling. We live on the cost, corrosion could be an issue , will see I like the fact it is yellow/black: Bright and easy to see so the dogs and people steer clear (after the first time, you never see a second)
