I read all the reviews, especially the negative 1 star ones, and was a bit skeptical, but decided to purchase this anyway and give it a chance. I am 5 Star GLAD I DID! 1. Sturdiness: the ones I purchased are very sturdy and of robust materials. 2. Spring Loaded: I found the spring to be extreme in its compression capability and hard to manipulate to the length to which I was extending it … approximately 18”. NOTE: I did find a fundamental and positive solution, and that is to extend it to window frame length, put it between the frame and then twist it to secure it within the frame (i was able to Twist it to fit securely within the frame to hold the double lined curtain in place. 3. The curtains I made are from professional Designer 100% Cotton material and are self-lined. The two side panels are 17-1/2” wide by 58” long (the two side panels are using the spring mounted curtain rods I purchased from Amazon). The center curtain is 31-1/2” wide and 68” long (using rods I already had in my possession, and are smaller in diameter than the ones I purchased here … just to be clear and precise). 4. Positioning the rods: these side panels are using rods are very easy to manipulate (using the “twisting to tighten” method rather than the method given in the directions. I will purchase these rods again, and feel fairly certain that the negative 1 star complaints of not being strong, is in error and certainly not the experience I’ve had regarding the ones I purchased.

These are good quality for the price. Put them up & they haven't come down. Good quality. Strong.
