Brilliant
Joseph Campbell has the human condition well understood. An inspiring read. Both frightening and reassuring. Every politician ought to read this.

Enjoyed this
Very thought-provoking and entertaining sideways angle on Campbell's work that illuminates further his previous work and develops further understanding of it. Some books in this collection have rehashed too much the previous books, but this one feels fresher and is definitely worth the read.

Life changing book
Why isn’t Joseph Campbell taught in schools? At least I discovered his work and benefited from his teachings later in life.

A little beyond my understanding in some parts
Book was fine quality. It was recommended to me but the subject a bit difficult to get my head round.

Wonderful man and a wonderful book
Joseph Campbell is a true scholar who dedicated his life going into the depths of mythology. As you hear his words you can imagine a twinke in his eye.

So glad I found Jo.
Wow. Just wow. I wish I had read this in my 20's. It would have saved me years of stumbling around in the religious dark seeking an answer. This book has confirmed for me everything I have come to understand from all my years of investigating different spiritual and religious dogmas and opened the door to clarity. What an amazing man he was. Mr Joseph Campbell how I wish I had been privileged to listen to one of your lectures. Never mind. I have access to your books!😀

Difficult
I believe that the content is good, but for a non native speaker it is difficult to read and understand.

The Master speaks....
This is my third purchase of this book.. I have worn both the previous ones out, this of itself shows how often I have read and read his words. He has kept my sense of wonder alive for so many years and I can still find something I missed in earlier readings. Mystical, Magical, Mind opening and revealing. If you have not read it....do so, if you have read it.... read it again... and again.

Another Missing Piece of the Mystery
I am currently reading this outstanding work...Joeseph Campbell is interviewed about the power of Myths, The Archetypes, and Heroic Journeys from all cultures and all times. Piece this together with Dr. Jungs..."Man and his Symbols" ; "Modern Man in Search of a Soul" ; and "Memories, Dreams, and reflections ",and you have powerful guides. Joe Campbell is like an inspired guide or Shaman narrating you as you reflect on the inspirational motifs of History. Dr. Jung said that at least 2/3's of his patients past the age of forty suffered from a sense of meaninglessness."God is not a Myth, Myth is a Revelation of the Divine Nature to Man " Dr. Carl Jung

Good read if you're into storytelling
I liked it, but I did find it a bit dry in places, but very informative. I preferred "The Hero with a Thousand Faces".

Just about the quality of binding
Pages are coming out as the book is loosely bound. Quality seemed good from the look of it.
