Would recommend this very simple very good my wife is finding lots with it

This is a complicated subject that I will endeavor to keep simple. Think of an old style transistor radio with just s volume switch. That's a cheap beginner unit. Now this of a run of the mill car radio. That's a step up. Now think of your home stereo. That's your higher end detector. Quality, Sensitivity, Discrimination, search media selection (beach, parks, heavy mineral ares) all these are the variables in the entire range of detectors. The SCORE is past beginner moving into intermediate taht starts to incorporate features that make searching much more productive and enjoyable, but has definite limitations. The key features that I can say work well and are expected at this level are Variable search mode selector for 3 different terrains, IP68 waterproof--the whole unit rated to 5 meters deep submersion, Auto noise cancellation (rids EMI) 60 different ID's and Harmonic tones to validate target, Backlit LCD and built in flashlight, Online Firmware updates to fix bugs, improve performance. What it lacks are headphones, although you can pair your own with built in BLUETOOTH, Auto ground balance and meaningful tutorials for operation. Nokta is big enough at this point that it should provide a suite of YOUTUBE tutorials that TEACH not SELL products. Nokta makes some outstanding models and I am surprised that they just didn't go with the DOUBLE SCORE and skip this model, but pricing may have been a big part of it. Lastly price. At introduction this unit was $425.00. Way overpriced. It has now been reduced to $329.00 I think $299.00 would be fair market for this unit although $329 .00 is pretty close. As such I can RECOMMEND.

This is my first time with a metal detector and it is really cool to have. The craziest thing to me is how light weight it is, you can litterally throw it in a backpack and probably not even notice that you have something in there. It is very sensitive and works great, the funcationality of it is excellent and you can change the depth that it is looking for. It is great espeically for using in the sand or on the coast where you can dig something up easily once it starts to detect it. It is very accurate and, so far, it has not had a false hit for me on anything. The overall quality of it is very good, certainly you trade some durability for the light weight of it, so be prepared that is the case. But, being able to transport it around easily is worth having a bit of the less strong material. It is super simple to use and not hard to assemble or adjust to whatever your needs are. Overall, i think this is a great value for the price and I would recommend it if you are in the market for a good metal detector.

I wanted to compare this Nokta Double Score metal detector to my Garrett GTI 2500, a top of the line detector which I purchased for about $900 in 2012. It came with headphones and lots of instructional tools. It is still all worth that today. The Nokta Double Score metal detector is a very lightweight detector with nearly all plastic housing. In a physical comparison, my Garrett has metal poles and thick plastic; it weighs 4.6 pounds and I use a shoulder strap to handle the weight. The Nokta weighs 2.6 pounds, and its featherlight weight makes it easy to handle so no need of a shoulder strap. However, the Nokta’s almost all plastic construction is a drawback because it feels flimsy. When I assembled it, the plastic latches on the poles did not feel lock tight. The Nokta detector would feel a bit more substantial and be less prone to deterioration or scratches over time if the poles were made of lightweight aluminum. The Nokta detector came with a USB cable to recharge it, which is a great feature. The unit will hold a charge for up to 12 hours. However, the socket on the detector was covered with a cap held on by an open wire. I think the USB socket area and the wire should be enclosed to prevent it from getting knocked around. Although the Nokta does not come with headphones, it can be paired with any Bluetooth headphones. Any detector should, in my opinion, come with headphones so that you can focus and avoid being disturbed by others, and so the detector is not beeping out loud in public. I expected the Nokta detector would include headphones. I do not know how other hunters feel, but I think shortly after owning a metal detector, you might want to purchase headphones to go with it. The Nokta has three basic search modes: Parks, Fields, and Beaches, and adjusts the frequency to optimize detection for the specific soil conditions. The search coil is submersible in water. Due to colder weather, I was not able to test it at the time of this review. But the instruction booklet gives detailed information for what appears to be an excellent detector in its class. No matter how easy using a metal detector might seem, it does take some learning. You won’t turn it on and begin finding gold coins or civil war relics underground. It is a learned hobby or sport and takes practice. I am not the kind to read a manual when I get a new device, even if the Nokta instruction manual is excellent. When I purchased my Garrett, I was new to metal detecting, and the training videos were one of the features that really convinced me. They had lots of YouTube instructional videos, and it even came with a CD with a detailed video on how to use it. The Nokta has a Youtube channel with many videos, but most are less than one minute and are basically, “Look what I found!” I was disappointed in their lack of instructional videos, or organization of them, for someone wanting to learn how to use this product. The videos seemed like hype, more to target sales than support for their customers. The Nokta will likely do what it claims as a basic metal detector and I do not expect it to measure up to my luxurious Garrett with extra search features, such quality construction, deluxe headphones, and exceptional training videos. But I do not think the Nokta’s 329.00 price is a great value due to its shortcomings of light plastic construction, no headphones, uncovered USB socket area, and lack of instructional videos to help people who want to learn the hobby.

Je trouve des nouveaux objets aux endroits déjà prospecté avec un autre détecteur. Je l’utilise en mode champ discrimination fer 11; sensibilité 4 etc…Je regrette qu’il ne possède pas le mode réglage de la vitesse de détection entre deux cibles rapprochées (option double score…)

Easy to use and sturdy. The vibration strength is good and I really recommend this as an entry level detector for those wanting the best for the money. My partner loves it.

I would recommend Nokta score to anyone metal detecting.
