flat---it sits on the cook top all by itself. The very best pan I have ever owned and I have another wok from cuisanart.

Is this wok compatible with induction cooktop ?

This is a well made wok with a good heat conductor. I use it on gas stove and it heats up fast. I use my daughter's induction cooktop from time to time, I think this wok works as well as hers.

Not like cast iron. Sturdy but very easy to lift and position. Not heavy at all.
