decent
Among other choices this worked out most economically. Adhesion seems adiquate on metal door. Odd smell when new but decent protection if they work (untested)

Highly Recommended, Top Notch Quality, These Work in the Right Situation
I will preface in saying I used to be a professional firefighter for a large department in the Washington DC area. That doesn't qualify me to speak intelligently about this item, but I did ask several former coworkers about their opinion of these and they thought they were a great idea...asked for the link. I will say the instructions state "electronic initiator valid for 10 years", and there is a 'made on' date of 6/21/2024 on all 4 that I purchased on 3/30/2025. Item is a very solid steel construction, no defects no lazy crimps, no defects in the punches or paint. Uses 3M VHB tape on the bottom...so cursory look indicates quality materials and good but simple workmanship. I can see a smaller "puck" inside and two insulated wires that appear to be about 14 gauge. Have not tested, but bought multiple so I can take one apart to see what is inside. I intend to use these inside a metal storage cabinet that stores multiple solvents. Sticking one or two onto the underside of each shelf should be sufficient. Their effectiveness will be exponentially increased if the cabinet stays closed and is relatively airtight. Bottom Line: yes, highly recommended. For $30-$40, the peace of mind should be worth it even if they inventively fail to completely extinguish suppress a blaze. I imagine they will at least buy time in a situation where stored items in a cabinet catch on fire or a charging battery overheats....the smoke detector should go off and the open flames will at least be beaten back a bit.

5 stars with a true unknown rating.
I build battery packs out of EV batteries and others. These were the closest “U.S” based (by that I mean easily found and purchased in the U.S.). I found the exact one that some big battery makers put in their boxes but the company only sells wholesale and I don’t need 10,000 of these. So I have placed one of these in one of my boxes and plan to add more to other packs I built. No where did I see these work specifically on Lithium Iron Phosphate or Lithium ion battery fires but I figured if things go horribly wrong it’s a line of defense of which there are many. I’m not willing to sacrifice my lithium batteries to intentionally start a fire to see what these things do or don’t do. Maybe the seller could answer the question about what batteries they work on and if you really want to boost you sales making a video proving it! We buy with trust. Trust in a very situation. Showing off “it works” goes a long way in boosting confidence. I don’t know if I have a $20 circular paperweight or a fire suppression device. I may have found an Indian company that makes them for large companies (EK4) that sounds they are open to smaller sales and not bulk. We will see. Hopefully never find out. Maybe one day I’ll get a battery that starts to go south and I will controlled destroy it and see what one of these pucks can do.

They don't sell these in the USA They come from Thailand.
This is taken well over a month to get here and it's still not here because I think these things come from Thailand and they don't even sell them in the United States but they have balls that pop in the presence of fire and put it out and these are little discs that you put in areas that could potentially catch fire like near washing machines and that type of thing and this blows out these same as a fire extinguisher, while the other ones are huge and can put out an entire room
