Handy label-maker
I have had a few of these Brother Ptouch label makers. They are extremely useful for crafts and for home. They are perfect for lunch boxes and water bottles, surviving washing-up with no problem.Once you learn how to access the different options, this is quite straightforward to use to make quality, personalised labels. If you set the margin to 'Chain' print and only advance 'Feed' when you've finished, you can cut down on wasted tape in between. You will have to cut them with scissors manually if you do this, but it saves lots of tape. If you want to print and cut individually, just chose the 'Narrow' margin option.Cheap compatible refills are just as good as original ones and you can get a lot of labels from 4 metres of tape each time. You can swap out colours without having to finish a tape, and they keep for ages if you store them properly. There are different colours available, including pastel, white, black, metallic, sparkly holographic or clear tapes. There are iron-on clothes tapes and satin ribbons produced by Brother themselves and these are a bit more expensive, but very nice. The only issue with this model is the poor choice of symbols. I really don't want a set of zodiac signs, numerous cat silhouettes, a mini Eiffel Tower or most of the sports and travel ones. Several are outdated and could be so much better. The fonts are nice on this one, although you can't chose narrow or wide options like you can on other models. I really can't see the point of the patterns, because you can't combine them with text. I won't be bothering with the fancy initials. If you don't mind only having a couple of basic fonts, I'd say save a tenner and get a simpler model like the pt1000. If you want a choice of fonts and some various frames, then you'll get on well with this H200. Either way, invest in some good rechargeable aaa batteries and get some nice, cheap compatible tapes.

Is this the right machine for you?
Previously I’ve found all the information I wanted to know about a product on the description but there are certain things I didn’t see, which made choosing the type of labelling machine I wanted a little more difficult. I am hoping this review will help you find the right make and brand for you, without having to sift through multiple websites to find the answer! This labeller is not for industrial purposes. But if you are looking for a labeller to use at home, for craft or general purpose this is the one to go for. Unlike the industrial labelling machines, this one allows each label to have a different pattern. There are also more emoji options, text sizes, and fonts to choose from.I was stuck with what brand to choose. After researching I found Brother came out best. It is more reliable and prints labels faster. This machine however isn’t produced to create multiple labels at quick speed because of the decoration each label can have around the outside.Another reason this machine swayed me is it’s ability to print on ribbon, tape and material tape (to label clothes for example). The industrial machines - as far as I’m aware - do not allow for this! Means you don’t need multiple labelling machines for the different materials! The tapes that are sold are mostly compatible with this machine. I’ve found the tapes don’t have to be the most expensive in order to work. Managed to get 5 tapes for £7.This machine takes up to 12mm wide tape, which is good to know. Some of the patterns it prints can only be printed using 12mm tape, but the majority can be printed on the smaller tape.I didn’t think I needed a labelling machine but I was very wrong. So far I have had the machine 7 hours and I have used 8m of labelling tape. This machine is easy to use. However you will need to be patient when pressing the buttons as they are a little hard to press, but when you get the hang of it, it’s alright!I read the instructions once and then felt comfortable enough to throw the instructions away, it’s that easy to use.Quite a girly looking machine, compared to the others out there but I like that!Got so carried away with labelling that I labelled my labelling machine.....Hope this helps! Certainly all the information I was looking to find when researching all the labelling machines out there - just to find out which was best for my needs.Would highly recommend.

Great little machine
Bought this to print company name labels for my homemade products. The ribbons look lovely. Only comment I have is the device does not come with any instructions so we had to download from the internet.Regarding delivery - this is the second time our order has been delivered to the wrong address. Why can your drivers not look for the house numbers especially when it was delivered by the partner of a driver and not your employee. I stood at the window and watched them.

Good value
This is so easy to use. It has a qwerty keyboard so it makes it easier and can be used on a table using both hands. The cartridge it comes with is white ribbon. I think it would have been better with a ordinary white cartridge to start you off. It is a sturdy item and looks good. Takes 6 AAA batteries. The print is bold and clear. Plenty of options for font and size. Plus patterns. It will print on two lines for smaller labels. I am a crafter so I can use it on my handmade cards. I have used it for my boxes and folders. I have now started labelling my baking containers. A vey hand gadget to have. I am really pleased with it.

Labelling heaven
I have had this item a few months now, and can give an honest review. I love it I use it constantly and am currently in the process of decluttering and organising my home. I have not used the ribbon feature yet but I am sure it will print as well as the tape does. It is so easy to use the hardest part is deciding which frame to use.
