Love this stuff for restoring uneven spots when redoing furniture!

i rarely leave reviews, but this toner is the best. the cherry on top. it helps out my stained plywood so much -- takes it to a top level. I am so happy i found it and use it on several darker wood stained pieces; not just walnut color. shake it well, and because its spray paint and once in awhile bunch up in corners of my wood pieces; but a quick wipe solves that. LOVE IT and so thankful i found it! my pieces look truly finished with this, and i'm using plain old home depot plywood!

Another tool for the pro. I use this color more than any other because you can blend with yellow for warmer (oak) brown or reds for darker (mahogany). It works for almost any piece and can be used as a base under or over stain..just make sure and put a final finish clear coat over any coloring product so you avoid transfer. I work on many pieces that are 300-600 years old and if I can’t find a period piece of wood for repairs I have to blend the newer lighter wood to match the old wear/sun darkened wood…this toner does that perfectly.

The product is very nice color wise and sprays great. It’s not what I’d call transparent though, it’s got pigment or solid color in it. So if you spray it over a dark surface you will see a haze, rather than a clear toner / tint effect. I used it to try to add amber age tint to a black guitar headstock. I’ve used tinted lacquer before and you can shoot clear tint over black to give inlay in the black headstock an aged look. This came out milky and and semi opaque leaving a light yellow haze on the black surface, so it had to be removed. It would be great however for going over something like a maple neck to tint before clear. I’ll try it for other uses. Thanks!
