That's fine - eventually figured out. However, I am not happy with it as it is fine during the day but at night when you turn on the light, people outside can see inside very clearly. As such, I had to buy a new privacy film. Review: For daytime use only and good privacy - This product is very good but not any good at night. You still need to pull curtains because it becomes see-through at night when there’s a light on which I was not happy about but it is very good for daytime use like if you want to see if anybody’s coming to the house and you don’t want them to know about you.

For daytime use only and good privacy

Not too shabby. Helps reduce but not cure excessive heat
One roll covers this size of window. 3 panes. Be mindful it reduces light as well as the heat coming in. Not sure how I will fair over autumn/winter. Whether to remove it, and if its storage reapply next year. Its quite expensive to just throw away at anything between £6-£10 per roll.

Works Well in Direct Sun, Less Convincing Otherwise
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars I put this on a south-facing window in my flat primarily to reduce heat during summer, with privacy as a secondary consideration. On the heat reduction front it genuinely delivers. A room that was previously unpleasant by early afternoon is noticeably cooler with the film applied, and the difference is meaningful enough that I am not reaching for the portable air conditioner nearly as often. One reviewer estimates an 8 to 10 degree difference with only half a window covered, which is consistent with my experience. For that specific purpose alone, at £7.99, it is difficult to argue with. The privacy function requires more realistic expectations than the product page sets. The one-way mirror effect depends entirely on there being more light outside than inside, which in London on an overcast day means it offers very little. In full summer sun it works well and the mirror effect from the street is genuinely good. At dusk, and obviously at night with interior lights on, anyone outside can see in perfectly clearly. The listing does acknowledge this but not prominently enough given how often it catches buyers by surprise. Installation needs a genuinely clean window. I mean clinically clean, not just wiped over with a damp cloth. Any residual grit, dust, or cleaning product residue will create bubbles that are difficult to remove. I made this mistake on my first attempt and had to take the film off and start again after cleaning the glass properly. The second application went on much better, and using a bank card rather than anything with a harder edge helped avoid scratching the film during squeegeeing. The durability concern raised by several reviewers is real. After about six weeks the edges in the corners have started to lift slightly, particularly where they are exposed to temperature variation when the window is opened. This is the main reason for three stars rather than four: a product that needs to be regularly reapplied through a summer is less convenient than it first appears. For summer use in a consistently sunny room it earns its price. Do not buy it expecting year-round privacy or a permanent installation.

You need 2 people
You definitely need 2 people to put this on your windows , where I have used a card to smooth out the air bubbles it has scratched the surface , so maybe a shower squeegees might be better. But it keeps out the bright sun light from my front room , and no one can see in , so over all 4 stars.
