The Gospel by Gen Z (Gen Z Bible Stories)

My mom hates this and says it's blasphemous, but truly it's just rewording it into something that is easier for some people to understand. Anything that brings more people closer to God is good. This book helped get me through my cancer journey because it made me laugh while I was still reading the paraphrased Word of God. It was just what I needed.

This book is hilarious to read

I bought this for my sister for Christmas as a funny gift. We are a very religious family and I felt like this would be the perfect gag religious gift without it being disrespectful. My sister has been reading it to the other kids in the neighborhood and it makes it much more fun for the younger teens to follow along and understand the message. In no way did this feel mocking or distasteful. She loves it and tells everyone about it and motivates her to keep up her daily Bible study!

Good condition and the comprehension of this book may take a reading through or 2 but I do admit every passage invokes a giggle

I was a little worried I would offend some more religious friends and family. They all smiled and laughed. I was told it isn't disrespectful because it is a direct translation. There are definitions in the back for the older generations to learn newer slang.

Wanted to leave an honest review of the printing quality. I ordered 2 paperbacks at different times and had to return both because the pages curled up! Very flimsy print. I ended up ordering a hardcover version and it’s a little better. I didn't want to take off more than a star because it’s an amazingly well done book!! My kids love it and we all laughed so hard reading it aloud.

In the months following my purchase I've noticed a few imitators have entered the chat but Thomas Nelson, Zondervan and all the rest owe this man a check for opening this revenue stream they were sleeping on but anyways to God be the glory. I hope they consult him because the translation SLAPS and shows a real grasp of both gen Z slang and the Divine Dad lore. He ATE with this book. my eight year old read the whole thing in one sitting it took her two hours. Bro understood the assignment PERIOD!!!!!

I’m not going to lie I was a little hesitant to buy this for my daughter, but I’m happy that I did. She’s 12 yrs old and she loves it! As a result, she can relate and has a better understanding of the stories from the Bible. She will read the gen z and NIV Bible versions for better understanding when she is doing her Bible study. I’m just happy she’s into the word❤️👍🏾😁🙏🏾

Great quality, quickly delivered, very funny read

I love it so much. It's a fresh view on the Bible stories I grew up with. I cannot stop smiling and or laughing when I read through it. It is so much fun.

Arrived fast and my students LOVE it! They are all GenZ and wish their religion class taught the bible this way LOL.

A fun read so long as one doesn't take it too seriously. Purchased mostly for entertainment purposes and continuing in that vein, it is an enjoyable read. As I don't even know which gen I am, there are lots of new terms. A glossary at the back proves insightful :) It selectively picks its was through a collection of new testament narratives. The paper and printing feels low quality which I took a star off for.

We (including my 10yo daughter) thoroughly enjoyed this version/interpretation of the Bible Stories! It's modern, original, fun, vibrating - yet never missing the point. Keep in mind that this is NOT an actual Bible, it's the essence of the story of the Gospel, and then you won't be revolted or disappointed, but will be able to enjoy this work for what it is/stands. The quality (binding, paper, printing) is great, in my opinion; the combination of text&famous paintings is a brilliant idea and shows how new and old/classic can coexist and complement each other. It is also a very accurate reflection of today's slang, so, if you fall into the grown-up + category, it can be used as a quiz to test your up-to-datedness! :D It can be a brilliant present-idea for the younger generation (preteens, teens, young adults). And finally, for the weaker ones, there is a dictionary at the end of the book. I use it as a crash course to better understand what my kid is saying (the parent of a preteen talking here)! :) All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase, very happy with the book and would warmly recommend it to anyone thinking about giving it a try!
