Good quality large print

A good Bible for those struggling with smaller print, this has a good clear easy to read print. A friend is giving these away to people who have never owned a Bible and she is receiving very positive feedback. Please be aware that there is no commentary accompanying the text.

Perfect for me. I find the font to small in the usual-sized Bibles, so with a larger print I don't struggle. It's made it easier to read on a daily basis without eye strain or having to use the app on my phone.

A must read

Firstly, I should mention that although this Thomas Nelson Bible is advertised as having ‘large print’, its 10.5-point print size falls within the standard print, which is typically 10 to 12-point. Large print is generally considered to be 16 to 18-point or more. (This information is particularly important to someone with very poor eyesight). Nevertheless, the print is exceptionally clear and easy to read due to the typeface and bold text. This is a low-cost Bible, therefore, low weight, lighter paper (in the 20 to 30GSM range) is used. Surprisingly, I can effortlessly turn each page separately, and tearing can be avoided if handled with care! It should be noted that a major advantage of using thinner paper is that this Bible is very lightweight despite its 1000+ pages. The feature that most attracted my attention to this Bible is its extensive sub-headings from Genesis to Revelation. This is ideal for locating specific topics without having to search through long chapters. An example of this is found in Matthew Chapter 26 which has 75 verses: Verses 1 – 5: THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS’ PLAN TO KILL JESUS Verses 6 – 13: PRECIOUS OINTMENT Verses 14 – 16: JUDAS AGREES TO BETRAY JESUS Verses 17 – 30: THE PASSOVER MEAL Verses 31 – 35: PETER’S VOW OF LOYALTY Verses 36 – 46: JESUS’ PRAYER IN GETHSEMANE Verses 47 – 56: JESUS’ BETRAYAL AND ARREST Verses 57 – 68: JESUS BEFORE CAIAPHAS Verses 69 – 75: PETER’S DENIAL OF JESUS Just after the book of Revelation, there is a section called ’30 Days with Jesus’ with a list of passages which recount the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. On the next two pages is the ‘One Year Reading Plan’ for anyone wishing to read the entire Bible. This Bible is fantastic value for money and is suitable for children and adults, for personal reading, or a Bible Study Group. Highly recommended.

if you are looking for the content more than the quality then this is the one to buy. Below are my reasons why you can buy this: 1. Personal reading with paragraph style and a font of 10.5 pt type size. (There are Bibles with 17 pt type size as well) 2. This one stays at home (personal opinion). 3. Affordable and cheap when compared to other Bibles from Thomas Nelson. 4. Always use it by holding the centre of the bible in hand for long use as the binding in this is not smyth sewn binding. This Bible is a good beginning for people, who want to try to read the word of God, but want to buy a Bible not for all money in the world. The quality of the book is good for it's price : it has a glance soft bookcover and the pages are similar to newspaper quality. It's good to read at home, but I don't think this Bible can endure travelling in the backpack. What you need to know about this Bible is that the language of the Bible is similar to Shakespeare's language in Romeo and Juliet. There are many old words you might've never heard before. It also felt refreshing reading in a bigger font size than my other Bible, makes it easier to read during evening.
